About the only thing that can cause a leak like you have is a loss of air seal. These work much like holding you finger on a straw filled with liquid. If no air is getting in, it won't leak...its as simple as that.

When they leak what I notice is they leak from the seal on the bottom. If you look at the bottom of the CE3 where the threads are you can see the white seal. Mine will leak around this dripping into the threads and eventually the battery. Other than this the only juice i get on the battery is a drop from the air hole. This usually occurs when the juice level drops to half.

It might help to turn the CE3 upside down and press that center post in a little if you're getting leaks there. One of the wires for the coil contacts the center post as it passes through that seal, whichis actually more like a grommet. If the wire is a little long it could also cause leaks.

Just my opinion, worth what you're paying for it, your results and mileage may vary, no warranty or guaranty is expressed or implied.

Doesn't seem to really move at all

Anyone experience the new CE3 over powering the atomiser? I think that is how you would describe it.

It's not burning but its like that, the only work around I have found is to not screw the connection down tight, even moving the battery post to one side the screwing the ce3 on and unscrewing it slightly. But it comes back often.

Any ideas?

That's a new one on me. It sound like there's not enough air getting in at the base from what you're describing. Do you see any difference in the air holes on the new one versus the old one? I hate that these things, CE3s and clearos, keep changing and the changes are unannounced. It's kind of like buying a Coke and finding out you got a Yoo Hoo when you drink it.

I have zero experience with the old CE3. But on my 5pack, I had 2 die prematurely due most likely to gunk build up. They started running warm and just died. I had 1 leaker, which I think is due to the fill hole not sealing properly. Since I had spare parts, I used the piece from a dead one, and it stopped leaking. All the others get a drop on the battery due to consensation I think.

I do get burned flavor quite a bit, but only with certain juices. I think these are very sensitive to voltage. From most to none: x2 battery > 78mm > 65mm. Coincidentally, IMHO, voltage on the batteries are: x2 > 78 > 65.

The cartos seems oblivious to voltage for me. Even though I love my x2, I only use the clearo and carto on it. I have learned to avoid CE3 + x2 battery.... or it could just be in my head. YMMV.

I've found a little tricky that works well. I was sucking on the CE3 without pushing the button down and that helped, but that rubbery taste still lingered unless I pre pulled the juice into the wick before every vape.

After some research I've found that you can lightly squeeze the tube and the bubbles come out of the hole. They did when I pre sucked but this seems to let more in and break some surface tension letting the flavours back in. My next thought is if I do this long enough on sides where the wick holes are not located it might slightly warp the tube to let the juice flow as it used to in the old ones. But for the moment I can do it without feeling stupid for sucking without vaping.

Well I finally had my first one die or wear out that I purchased back in July. 2,3 or 4 fillings a week. Minimal cleaning (maybe a dry burn or two). once month the got a coke bath or so.

The weird thing is that it still capes. It just doesn't wick quickly. I takes a minute or two to wick. I don't have the patience to wait for it. After maybe 64 max fillings, it has done its job for me. That is 7 different juice vendors and my own DIY shack. I still have 1 or 2 going from that batch.

I am going to bury it my backyard so 1000 years from now some archeologist will uncover it and who knows what they will speculate it was for and call us all heathens for vaping. :)

The old design had 4 cutouts for air, the new one has two.

Awesome, thanks, I don't have any left. Also the hole in the middle seems smaller also, they seemed to have tweaked it for a better connection but at the same time limited air flow. Those images will help a great deal. Thanks.
I find with the smaller center hole I get less condensation on the battery.

While I initially like this redesign, I'm finding that over the long haul I'm having more trouble with these "improved" CE3's. I'm only getting a couple of weeks out of them rather than months. Even with the downgrade these are still my favorite devices though.
