The SER v4 I found moderately restrictive when used with the 1.7mm replacement pin.

I think but am not certain at all that the MTL kit has an even smaller bore on the air pin, maybe even 1.3mm but I didn`t measure it before I drilled it out so cannot be sure at all.

The supplied standard pin (guesstimated) is 3.5mm as I can put my 3mm coil rod inside it - BUT, when the airflow is turned right down it`s a decent LOOSE mtl that suits me fine...but isn`t like trying to make a subohm tank work as MTL as I find that doesn`t work - ever...

...so the smaller pin would obviously be tighter, plus closing down the AFC. Tight enough though ? This I couldn`t say.

I got a few spare 1.7mm pins and ended up drilling them out but the airpath didn`t feel quite right for me so will be replacing them with the standard ones.

Airpath, resistance, noise and restriction is all relative to the individual user though.

Thanks Fad. It sounds like this one may be something I'd like, especially with the MTL kit. There are so many I am anxious to try since our supply of Sirens ran out! Ian's use of grommets has given me hope that even if something has a draw that's a little too loose for me, I can probably reduce the airflow myself.

Do you have a Hussar? I'm wondering how the flavor delivered by the SER v4 compares to the Hussar?

Not Fickle Kat, we all have just got into the habit of trying to "Make a Silk Purse out of a Sows Ear" that's all. It's just Habit for us.

GMTA, 5.2

Just sent this to my bestie:

I did have the Hussar but threw it into the trash.

Also, only use one flavour at very low % so don`t really notice changes in flavour across most atomisers.

Sorry, I can`t help at all about that question !

On the plus side, I have 3 boxes of expensive spare parts...big o-rings, small o-rings and "things"

Ironically, when I come to find a replacement part to fix something else, out of all of them I often can`t even find one !

I would likely have had an impressive "display" of useless vape stuff by now but I`m not a hoarder, if something isn`t used - it goes.

Brutal :sneaky:

Ever heard of the classies? Make something back.

Or hire an "agent" so at least you get SOMETHING for it all. I hate to see you throw stuff away.

They`re all apart for cleaning ATM so was able to check...

the standard airflow pin that comes supplied is 3.5mm, I can fit a smaller type silicone grommet inside (not the upper flange as well)
also a small rubber one fits - but not the larger type.

There is a 1.7mm airflow pin available separately on 2FDeal - the site isn`t working at the moment....it is now but slowly.

I built a coil for my Corolla 1.5 but the ohm meter isn't reading it. What did I do wrong? I never had this problem with my Sirens!

View attachment 656237

I don`t have that specific ohm meter but I noticed that they can be temperamental when it comes to certain devices.

Likely not making a connection there...extend the 510 pin on the corolla (if possible)

I have had to resort to using a heatsink on my ohm meters to ensure a good connection (or any connection at all sometimes !)
to save me from altering my atomisers - the spring loaded connectors in ohm meters aren`t fit for purpose in many cases.

Kepler Style 510 Heatsink adapter with adjustable screw
^one of those type things.

The adjustable screw on the heatsink/adapter means I can get a permanent good connection with the ohm meter and also that I can screw the atomiser down tightly enough without ruining the meter.
Can also use short and long 510 atomisers without needing to touch anything.

The springs in the ohm meters are poor, I think.

I have several but currently using a Coil Master 521 Mini, the CM 521 full size previously - both needed the adapter for a good connection every time.

~~~ Edit:
Additionally, the cheap ohm meters got tossed as they were wildly out most of the time and broke as soon as you looked at them but even the allegedly accurate one from "usaohmmeters" needed the heatsink due to the weak spring - bad connection.
The "Smoktech Omnitester" was OK iirc as it was not spring loaded but even then I ended up using a 510-510 adapter to deal with short 510 atomisers.
REALLY, Fad. Wow. I'm rather amazed at these reports. I've never had a prob with my Tabs, but on the other hand, I LOVE heatsinks (it's kind of a fashion statement for me). I have no clue if my are adjustable.
Off to see that wizard right NEOW!
Why was that URL also removed ? What's up ?
Now that Canadian URL is visible again.:confused:
By the way, both links were visible and worked for me, so dunno, 5-2.
A member with less than 5 posts...their links will not work :)
Aha Ultem !
I`d heard the name but couldn`t place it to anything, so that`s that plastic that looks like it`s been sat in a bucket of dog urine for 2 years.
I think it looks like amber !
