I would think that the best way to explain just what the Digiflavor Siren is, is that it is a "Tinkerers" MTL rta, meaning, a MTL RTA that needs (in most cases) some "Tinkering" done to it before it performs as good as you would like, and expect. A few have received a "Tinker Free" Siren that performs Brilliantly right out of the box, but most have to "Tinker" a bit to get theirs up and running to their satisfaction. I have a 25mm and a 22mm that I have had to put o-rings in to get it to perform without seeping e-liquid thru the bottom air adjustment ring (the ring on the bottom that you adjust your air intake). The Factory did not tighten the Center air hole tube enough and that has caused juice seepage out of the air adjustment ring on the bottom of the Siren. That's what all the fuss is about @Cosmic_Glaze. Some like to Tinker, and some don't. As with all things vape related, it's NEVER Perfect for all, or most, but a lot of us here LIKE to "Tinker". As a matter of fact, we should look into a "Tinkerers" Union, if for no other reason than to maybe put together a "Tinkerers" News Letter......oh wait, that's what this Forum Thread is all about isn't it ?? My Bad !!
Thanks for the explanation. That makes sense.. about a month or so ago I thought I would make my life a simpler by putting a few Nautilus 2s in the rotation along with the N.mini and just keeping one KF in use. (Icare and Juul for work) as well...
Sometimes I find myself just staring at my line up wanting to "tinker" with it but there is not much to do. Switch tanks on diff mods, diff drip tips, change a pre-built coil....that's entertaining for like 5 minutes.
Sounds like the Siren should add a little excitement back into the rotation, experimenting with wicks and builds or playing Detective in " The Case of the missing O-ring"
Sounds like most of you have figured out most of the mysteries of " The Weeping Siren"
Tinkering will resume in a few days! ;)

Good luck, CG, and let us know...

One thing worth noting (in addition to The Tinkering Tales throughout this thread).

There is an O-ring that will either be stuck to the bottom of the glass, or down inside the base (when you take it apart). Be VERY careful with this ring. It's rogue, and always looking to escape. Never forget about it, any time you disassemble the tank. It's very sneaky, and appears to be quite smart too. If you don't remain cognizant of these facts, it will escape one day.

In fact, I believe that a fair number have already escaped, many via drain pipes in homes all over the land. I envision a yacht where they've all met, and are having a HUGE party, celebrating their freedom. The yacht is almost certainly named, "Lord of the Rings".

:party::headbang::banana:

Watch that ring!!! :D
Very funny.... I'll keep my eye out for that one!

If you're not in the mood for tinkering, just try doing what I do with my 22s. Make a 3mm diameter coil, stuff it full of cotton, and don't let your juice level go above the top of the build chamber. Before you fill it, make sure your afc is closed. If, you do have seeping, try the Classwife trick. Cut little strips of your wicking material and add it to the wick. You don't need to rewick, just make the wick bigger. Since the wick is already damp with the juice, just press the strips to the wick and it should stick. Then vape away and enjoy.

I'd love to say that I had your consistency with that method, JW, but I haven't. I'll continue to vape them, because I like the way they vape, but random leakage has become an acceptable risk for me in the manner I've elected to use them (desk mod only, wet wipes always nearby).

My SXK Nebula Wines are the same for me. LOVE 'em, but I'm not taking them out on a date either. ;)

It's a conundrum! The Siren weeps for some but not for all and there's no rhyme or reason for it. I'm just happy that so many of us are enjoying our Sirens! Whether that enjoyment requires a lot of tinkering or a little, the important thing is that we're able to get a good vape with it.

I'll vape to THAT!

I really don't mind messing around with RTAs if the vape is worth it..
Are you not supposed to fill it up past the top of the build chamber? I thought you could or is that just to be safe from leaking?

You are supposed to be able to fill it above the top of the build chamber, but I notice that whenever I do that, I'm more likely to have seeping. If that happens, I can make it stop by adding wicking. My fix doesn't work for everyone, however.

I'm still here on ECF... sort of. ;)

I've not heard that you're NOT supposed to, but JW has given some great info on her experience.

For me, it does not seem to matter if I do a mini fill, or fill alllllllllllll the way up to the top cap.

Random annoyances (leaking/weeping)... Random annoyance tank. But I still LIKE it.

And so I "Tinkered".

The Siren's draw with the last hole closed was still a little but lose for me.

So I bought some Protank coils and did what Ian sugggested. Using the silicon grommet. It was still not to my liking. So I did this. You can see that there is some metal after the silicon grommet. That is the metal plug that came with the Protank coil. Had to file down the flathead so that it becomes shorter and not interfere with the coil.

Also. Since I could not unscrew the airtube I just slotted an o ring from the top. Works as well.

Hope this helps for folks who want and even tighter draw.

I now wonder if we could/should re-name this thread to something like "The Siren Tinkerers Association" or something of the like, as it seems that we all have our own way of fixing this thing. Hey, what has happened to our @Fad , I haven't seen or heard from him lately, Fad is the British wing of our little group, and a great mind when it comes to this Siren and it's fixes. I think he's two timing with that new SERv4 (or whatever it is) that he was raving about many pages ago, but he used to check in and help us out. I miss his common sense approach and late night conversations. Anybody ?

    Nice job.
How many mm wide is the air flow hole under the coil? Has anyone tried using the KF5 air reducer kit in it to tighten up the draw? I'll try it I a couple days when my Siren arrives.
