You could try, but too much water may not provide a good vape.

A better solution would be to get some unflavored zero nic in the PG/VG ratio you prefer and use that. Or go to a pharmacy and get some VG, if you're happy with the possibility of winding up with a higher than normal VG percent.

If you're going to use water, use distilled water... And only a few drops per ml at the very most. Like David said, it may wreck your vape.

You can also use pure grain alcohol, but again... Only a few drops. Probably not enough of either to lower the nic content much.

Walmart carries vegetable glycerin in their pharmacy.

Just quick question I have a dripper and i have fluid with high nicotine content (like 12mg to 24mg) is there a way I can dilute them down with water so the nicotine content isn't as high?

Well '12mg to 24mg' is a big range and you also didn't say how much you wanted to lower the nic level. If you're adding water use distilled.

If you want to lower the nic level of 10 ml of juice by 50% you will have to add 10 ml of some liquid to the juice. If you want to lower 10 ml by 33% you will have to add 5 ml to it.

Adding that much water is going to ruin the juice for vaping. I would not add more than 5% water unless I tried it with a small amount of juice first and knew it was going to vape OK for me.

If I needed to add more than that I would do it with PG and/or VG. Many vape shops sell it and it's not expensive. Of course your juice flavor will also be reduced by the ratio of PG/VG you add. You can add flavoring to it to bring that back up and that can also be purchased from many vape shops.

Hope this helps :)

I've done it this way before now:

- Get some Glycerine, USP from a pharmacy.

- Dilute it 15% with DW (distilled water). If you don't have any then use ice from on the walls of the inside of a freezer, it's DW. Collect it by scraping it off very gently with a wooden spatula onto a saucer. You can create freezer ice by propping the door open a millimetre.

- Add enough flavoring to this diluted glycerine that it vapes OK. You can just drip the flavored glycerine into an atty, adding flavor until it tastes right (this is just a normal zero-nic vape).

- When you have your diluent right (the 0-nic stuff you're going to add to dilute the original), then mix it in the correct proportion. To halve the nic strength is easy: mix in the same amount of diluent as the original, for example 5ml of each, and you get double the quantity at half the original nicotine strength.

- Don't ever do any e-liquid mixing of more than 5ml at a time unless you are an expert. It's the fastest way to create a large amount of useless, expensive drain cleaner. 2ml is a good test amount when you don't know what will happen.
