So, I'm sitting here with an analog, taking glances at the Smoketip battery charging, reading the forums again. I hope I made a good choice for starting, we'll see in a few hours!

I'm still a bit confused about all the options out there but, I figure learning to vape is worth a try . I"m one of those folk that enjoy smoking, and not really sure I will stop analogs, I have a, "if it happens it happens if not, ermmm ok" attitude going on.

For a lazy person like me, what's the best (recognizing this is subjective question) kit to get started with? I understand there will be plugging in of batteries, and popping on tips/carts(?) and etc. But for instance this Smoketip kit I have,

Battery, how long will it last? Do I need more than the two the starter kit came with?
Cartridges (this is a two piece system) how long will they last?
How can I find out if my battery will support cartridges made from different companys?

Suggestions on alternate systems!!!

i liked smoking and didnt plan on quitting ever. i tripped on e-ciggs and have not looked back. the most popular starter kit is the Riva ( i personally have it and thats all i use)
i started out with something similar to what you got but quickly moved on to the Riva 510.
the one you got will have max 2 hour battery time and then you need to re-charge it. the riva will last you 8 hrs for sure.

Smoketip is a KR808D-1
You can use Vapor4Life cartomizers and you can use standard resistance (not LR) blank KR808D-1 cartomizers from elsewhere (aka cartos - they are not cartridges or carts even though some 2-piece ecig rebranders call them carts. A cartomizer is a disposable cart and atomizer in one piece)

Smoketip batteries - I am not sure but I think it comes with Shorty size batteries so not a very long charge - 180mah or about 2-3 hours for a light vaper, 1/2 that for a heavy vaper. They are also auto batteries so you need to be especially careful when you add juice to cartos or fill a blank carto to make sure it is not going to drip on the end of the battery. If juice gets in the hole on the end of an auto battery it can kill or disable the drag sensor making the battery unusable.

The standard size KR808D-1 or Vapor4Life batteries last 60% longer (they are 280mah) and make the ecig about 120mm long w/ a carto. They are available as manuals which still have the hole in the end but are not dependent on a drag sensor.

If you keep a carto damp with juice you may get 4-7 days or more out of one. But the performance may degrade. If you run them dry you can singe the stuffing and ruin the carto. If not singed, some people are succesful with cleaning and drying cartos and reusing them, and some are not.

Hello and welcome, I'm new to vaping as well. I've been doing it exclusively for a little more than 3 weeks but I've had all the stuff for months. I was like you, I wanted something easy and if it worked great and if didn't well I LOVE to smoke just hated smelling like smoke all the time.

I started with a KR808 (2 piece system) because I wanted something easy and that looked more like a cigarette but when I first tried it, it wasn't satisfying for me. I didn't like the taste and there wasn't much vapor. so I stopped. Then I found this forum and after reading up on stuff tried the 510 - WAY more vapor but I still didn't like the taste. So I bought some various juices and tried dripping - it worked great! Turns out I don't like the taste of the filler in the cartridges or cartos. But having to carry a bottle of juice around, especially with kids in the house is a bit annoying. I just recently got an eGo-T. It has a refillable tank for the e-juice. The tank combined with the battery life means I'm set for the day. It's easy and I haven't had any problems but others here have.

I also have some clearomizers and ceramic cartos for my 808 and 510 batteries (they don't have the filler). I like those as well but not as much as the tank or dripping. Anyway, that's my experience - hope it helps. Lots of money spent on e-cig stuff but I finally found something that works for me....now just looking for the perfect juice for all day vaping.

I use a Bloog MaxxFusion. I don't see many people recommending it as much as I do, but it has great reviews.

For me it costs about 1/4 as much as regular smoking, and I use the thing a lot.

Plug the battery in the wall, when the light goes out, screw on a prefilled cartomizer and puff away for 10 hours straight.
