Yeppers. I just let go of the whole concept of steeping on that one (the P

melo). Mainly, because I've been vaping it all the time, everyday. Sooooo, my taste buds have been adjusting while the sauce has been steeping, and I'm just about as objective as a Seventh Day Adventist at a doorbell convention. Here's how I'm going to describe this flavor tho (and this is my impression after about a week of vaping-while-steeping . .. when I was supposed to let it steep for 2 weeks): It's Dirty Blonde (like it's supposed to be) with a gentle and balanced infusion of Grapefruit. It is NOT an in-yo-face grapefruit extravaganza.
I imagine the following would be true for any natural tobacco extract; but I find that frequency of wick change (I'm using KGD, thanks to Treebeard) has everything to do with how much Grapefruit I'm getting vs how much Dirty Blonde. The longer you let those tobacco solids build, the more it's going to taste like D.B. solo.
Of course, it is my humble and completely objective (
not) opinion that the sweet/tart flavor profile of the Grapefruit keys into the acidic end of the D.B.'s flavor spectrum nicely and takes it to a new level without masking (or stepping on) the D.B.'s personality. The bitter aspect of the Grapefruit comes in beside some of the D.B.'s .. . . . well . . .. "dirty" umami and puts an intriguing twist in the knickers of yer tastebuds. My nerve endings keep wanting to push that button, because my brain can't make heads or tails of it. And yet . . . . it feels natural.
Anyway, good stuff! (IMHO)
