Why do you suppose that is?
Because women have found health groups online where men have always gotten help from the medical community without having to demand it. We have had to seek out our own answers by comparing stories because the medical community has generally ignored, demeaned, belittled and written us off for years.

At least in my experience, and those of many women I have met online through various health related groups.

Silver,

I love the Spoon Theory. Makes me cry though T-T. I also have Fibro, Vit D deficiency like many chronic pain patients, Spinal Stenosis with nerve root involvement throughout my lumbar spine and five herniated discs.

I so feel for all of you with the processing disorders etc. Unfortunately the meds I'm on make it very difficult for me to get my thoughts together sometimes and I often lose people in the middle of a sentence. I just forget what they were saying. I'm sorry you have to live with it your entire lives.

It would be nice to have others who "get it" to chat with. Sounds like there are enough of us for someone to be here at most times even if the rest just need to hang back some of the time.

Failed back surgery ten years ago led to Spinal Stenosis with nerve root problems throughout my spine, which led to bone on bone in my lower spine which is wearing away my spine to the point of any surgery involving putting in a cage or fusion is about a 75% chance the hardware will not hold to the bones which will lead to not being able to walk anymore..3 torn discs putting pressure on the nerves..very painful and just had a fusion done in my neck because of another torn disc...boy once i get started..whew..thanks for letting me vent a little(lot)..thanks kate and to everyone with any problems just remember to try to laugh a lot..keep your sense of humor..and vape till your hearts content (or until some short sighted SOBS try to take this pleasure from us....
