Disappointed - Black mini

ey tri,
just from my experiences i find if you give it a primer puff then take a drag just enough so the light comes on you get a good vapour hit. i'm not sure if that does anything bad or not someone in here may be able to clarify. hopefully you get it up and going soon. you will love it and find yourself more addicted to buying more of these things than normal cigs. i've only been smoking these for a few weeks and i'm going nuts in buying more. as mostly everyone in here is guilty of.:thumb:

Sounds to me like you got a lemon. You are correct there is no way that a cartridge is 20 cigs and that is why I buy juice. However, the battery should certainly last more than one hour, unless you are inhaling one full hour non-stop which would make you a human vacuum cleaner. The battery should last two or more hours, it's hard to tell just how long cause I use mine for a while then put it down, plus I alternate between two cigs (actually 4 now).

Darcy you may have something there. Two of my friends wanted white 901's. I quit carrying them when the blacks got popular. I ordered a few. Kept one for myself was suprised at the vapor. Now, I don't know if it is comparable to my black mini, because the atomizers are over a month old and been cleaned. So when my new order comes in friday, I am going to do a comparison test for two weeks, between the white and the black new atomizers. Will let you know how it comes out.

I do think I recall reading that rectal delivery methods have shown a remarked decrease in repeat usage, but I think the 4-inch diameter tool used to inject the nicotine played a role in that determination.

What? That's what I ... heard...

(heheheheheh) :D
lol Tex ,
always count on your posts to make me giggle..hehe

Just a quick update re my original issue.

I followed advice and left a battery to charge overnight. I'm just back from college and have used the fully charged battery and popped in a fresh cart. Glad to say I'm now getting a decent smoke!

I'll see how long the current battery keeps up performance for but so far I'm thinking that my batteries were not as fully charged as I presumed. I've also asked my girlfriend to pick up some glycerine on the way home and will add a drop to see if vapour increases.

Thanks again for all the support and advice - in a world where smokers are used to being social pariahs, I've found this place to be such a breath of fresh air (no pun intended!).

I'll keep this thread updated as my experience grows as it might help others who jump on the bandwagon after me.

Ooh, something I forgot to get clarification on...

If I feel the top of my atomizer (side nearest the mouthpiece) get hot - does that indicate I'm smoking 'too dry' ?
maybe...if youre smoking too dry the vapour will diminish...it might be a good idea to check how dry your cartridge looks occasionally,or feed a drop or two of eliquid directly into the atomiser just in case-if you pull the filling from a cartridge that youve finished with, youll probably find some liquid left in the bit nearest the mouthpiece,if you want to do that...

youre probably puffing it too frequently...you gotta let it cool a little when it starts to get hot mate...and order some eliquid-its a must have...

My black mini starter kit wasn't great either. Bought some juice and a new atomizer and it's a different animal now!! The hit actually hurts my lungs if I inhale too deeply and the vapour is like a real cig when exhaling, didn't think it was possible until I got this new atomizer!

Have to say my batteries were ok though...

Entirely possible that I'm toking on it too much - it's like having a dummy (pacifier) all over again, lol.

I've put it down for a bit ;) I'll be getting some liquid for my return from holiday.

Hi,
I received my dse901b from pillbox38 today and it is brilliant. Carts last no time at all really though and I am already on my second one. I got home from work at 5pm and it is now only 8.15! I have NOT been using it constantly. I decided I had to order mega supplies including more carts, atomisers, battery and juice. I can see this becoming an obsession in no time at all, which scares me - I intended stopping smoking, which of course I will do, but will be doing this instead. Not totally convinced that it is not worse in the long term. (bovvered! at the moment, lol)

Ah, but you can always reduce your nicotine strength!

You'll calm down a bit after the first few days, but admittedly I'm puffing more on my e-cig than on the analogues, simply because it's always ready.

We don't yet know the long term health benefits/ problems, but it's gotta be better than burning tobacco. Smells nicer too :thumb:

After just over a week of using it my cardiovascular system has definitely improved, I can run twice as far on the treadmil already and recover much quicker. Therefor I would say this is a very good indication that it is not worse but much better for you in the long term!

Well, I've given e-smoking a go and my conclusion is that it has promise but that the technology is not yet advanced enough and that everything is too fiddly.

Yes, I know cigarettes are killers and I should be rid of them completely but this just isn't doing it for me. In fact, I found it easier to keep off the cigs by using nicotine lozenges.

It seems that I am reliant on components that are temperamental and will not work 'well' for very long. I initially got the black e-mini starter pack and found the atomizer to perform badly. I then ordered a white atomizer and found that performed even worse.

Yesterday my batteries were blinking 5 or so times and then the atomizer would get super-hot and, when I removed the cart/mouthpiece, there was smoke coming out of the chamber! I have 3 batteries and 2 atomizers and changing them around didn't improve matters. To be honest, I just can't be bothered anymore.

I'll keep an eye on developments and hopefully the technology will evolve and a product will be available that is reliable 99% of the time. For all the evils of cigarettes, I know I can light one up and it will give me what I'm looking for each and every time. Until e-smoking can offer the same I cannot envisage it being a suitable option.
