Br, thanks for the tips! The BD syringes I'm using are super tight. Not a drop lost thus far and it us extremely durable. I know there is info in various threads about better wicking material but if I recall correctly, the mesh that is being discussed is pretty expensive. I just need to know if PTB is the best wicking material for the $

Most people who use PTB swear by it. It's certainly cheaper than wire mesh. I don't know of anyone who has tried the mesh in an E2, so your guess is as good as mine. If I had some I would try it, but I don't plan on buying any.

I have tried PTB a few times, but for some reason it has not worked its magic for me. If necessary, I give the original wick the br touch and it generally works just as well for me as PTB.

'slopes' in England has 'br'. But to keep from hijacking 'storm's tutorial as well I'll say give the PTB a try in your syringe mod 'industrial', I think you'll like it. I like my syringe mod w/o it but do get dry spots every now and then. Like 'rocket' said w/ his pen mods, you can tilt to rewick (even w/ a stock CE2) but if you're looking for a different wick material that's cheap, PTB is it.

Yeah, I'm considering that. I don't know how much I care about the cone except for the sake of using the button protector. I guess it is the next logical step though.

I like the nice clean appearance it gives it. It wasn't easy cutting it down neatly tho!

There were alot of complaints or nasty burnt taste and problems with wicking, with this... none!
Glad you like them without messing with them. I wasn't so lucky.

Still newbie here, I went to CvS, Walgreen but no luck. If I may ask a stupid question, how does it wick better transferring to the syringe? Thank you storminyte.

Go to the pharmacy and ask for 3ml BD syringes without needles. I went to Wegman's and they charged me $.10/ea but CVS charged me $.25/ea. Part of the problem stems from the way the wicks are set-up in the CE2's. As I've been taking them apart, I've noticed that the wicks aren't the right length in a lot of cases to get liquid from the whole tube. Cut some apart using a tube cutter (cutting wheel with an adjustable screw for newbs, you get them in the plumbing section of the hardware store) and you'll see what I mean. Before transferring to the modded syringe, I've had to adjust the lengths of the wicks to their proper size (very easy to do) and trim the excess from the loose pieces. Once it is in and you've slid the PTB strip down each side (also very easy to do once you get the hang of it) button the whole thing up and vape away. I almost gave up on CE2's until I started following the Storm method.

How do you make the rubber piece/ drip tip to fit? Isn't syringe od is too big for that? Can I cut little piece of ce2 tube and stick it in mouth piece end of syringe so that drip tip can fit in there... I don't really know what I am talking about ... please don't mind me.

Its ok - actually the white mouthpiece fits perfectly at the end of the cut syringe...
