I just finished mine. I'm not sure why its working better than a standard e2 but i am getting better flavor and pretty decent vapor. I'm using a 3.0 ohm r3 xl and I'm getting the best action at 3.0 volts. If I go higher it doesn't seem to wick fast enough. Prolly need to make better slits for the wicks or something. I'm going to mess around with it some more and if it continues to work out for me I'll order some syringes and make more. Also, it hasn't leaked out a single drop.

Heh, after driving around town and not finding a suitable syringe, I came home to find I had the perfect clear tube ink pen sitting on my desk the whole time....

Oh yea, there's no doubt about it now. You have a full blown case of "Modumust fever". It is highly contagious, There is NO cure. We can only hope to treat the symptoms. some cases can last for years. But with proper treatment you can still live a full life. However your family MUST treat you with much care whenever the fever gets too high by supporting your needs for MORE PARTS,,, (and tools)

Did you add PTB strips on the sides of the cup where the wick comes in? I made one without PTB and it was almost as bad as a stock CE2 but then I made four more with PTB and it made all of the difference in the world. Wicks like a champ now.

funny you should mention that as I was going PTB on it while you wrote that message. I've messed with ptb before but not too much. Will it melt if in direct contact with the coil?

Based on my experiments, there's no need for it to actually enter the cup so mine don't touch the coil. If you go that route, I've read that it won't melt but it does get brittle over time.

When I set mine up, I readjust the wicks on each side so they are the same length and hang all of the way to the bottom of the tube. I then cut the excess off. I wrap the wicks around the pole and put it in the tube. I then put a folded PTB strip on each side of the cup slits and slide them all of the way in with the top of the PTB coming just to the top of the cup. After that the rings go back on and I'm good to go.

LoL... that little experiment was a total disaster...Ill try it your way, although I'm not sure how to keep my PTB from pushing down into the tube when I put the fill cap back on.

You don't want to reseat the filler ring w/ the PTB method or it will push them down. Either put the filler ring upside down or the middle ring flat side down.

'storm', how did your pocket test go? Mine gave me a slightly wet pocket..lol

What are you doing here? Are you doing this with a syringe mod and by pole you meant the airstem? What confused me is you said you lenghtened the wicks then cut off the excess (in one of bads videos he simply cuts the wick off as it enters the clup slot/slit and discards it). By cutting off excess you mean if a string is flyign up extraeously from the coil or did you mean cutting them off ala badkolo?
