Good point. Need to stop listening to my crazy engineer husband who does not vape. LOL

I take my rings and bracelets to a jewelry store for cleaning..wonder if they would clean up my GGTS?! lol

Seriously though, I will look for the polishing cloth tomorrow. I seriously do not want to mar my favorite vap machine. :D

they will for sure sweety.:)

GGTS is made from the best aluminium in market. This is the 7075 aluminium with hardness bigger than steel, the most shiny one and you can make the best threads with it. Its dificult to be machined because of its hardness and requires special tools.
Thats one reason why GGTS is expensive. There are many other reasons but I just told you one of them.

BUT........... GGTS is sensitive to chlorine and salt!!!

When Isis told me about black marks on it I couldnt understaned what was going on to this special aluminium but I think that I found it.

ps.......The latest batch of the GGT was made by the same material.

So please keep it away from those factors

Ime0, I clean mine w/brasso -it got real dark after a few days then I cleaned it. All marks are gone now and now I take a microfiber cloth w tiny amnt of brasso every 3 days and it shines just as nice as when I got it from Rob. A little Stainless Steel polish spray helps PREVENT the salt/chlorine buildup. Lasts a few days. My GGTS has NOT accumulated black marks since I started this routine. I have a SB and it too will do same thing if I dont clean it every once in a while. ALL ALUMINUM PVs will do this in time ;)

Just like we care for our shoes, cars, clothes, we must also show care for our beautiful PVs :D

Now this chlorine is a big problem for me. I work at a water treatment plant that smells of chlorine. Most plants do. I was thinking of getting the Storm until I read this.
I am around chlorine alot!

Buy it rejoice and if something happens I will send your money back. I want to make a test in real contitions:)

That isn't a problem just with the Storm. It is a problem with any aluminum. If you never had a problem before you won't have one with the Storm.

I haven't used it on a pv so I don't know if it would have a lasting odor that would make things unvapeable..but the benchwood casey company makes a product called barricade..it's an anti fingerprint oil and lubricant made for firearms to protect and oil the metal..but it will withstand a 7 day salt fog test per aplication..so the salt from the oils in your fingers won't affect the metal...
I use it on my work tools to protect them from rust and things in bad weather...but I'm not prone to holding my tools to my face to smell them...so like I said I don't know how it'd work on a PV, but thought I'd mention it..

To clean and protect my mods I use a German product called "Flitz". This will not only clean stains off the metal but leaves a protective coating that will seal the metal against oxidation etc.

I am sure that we all have our favorite products but I have been using this product for over 10 years and have been happy with the results.
