Hi all...Just wanted to say I REALLY dislike the Newbie restrictions. There are good threads in other forums and I have to post here, do this, do that...wait for approval.

You kinda have to understand why this is done, it is to discourage spamming, it goes quick, 5 posts is not too bad , Welcome to the forum

You are almost there! Welcome to ECF.

The rules are here for good reason, spammers are a waste of all our time. Meeting and greeting new members is nice, you might meet others just like yourself, with the same issues we all faced when new.

Yeah I moderate a lot of forums and wish I could enforce this sort of rules on other forums.

Really cut down on spam and trolls.

Ahh, so it's a containment policy keep the ecig co's confined to the newbie forum until they can be repelled. That's just like the british and french before the blitzkrieg.

Just pray the chinese ecig co's don't have panzer tanks.

Thank you for fielding this guys, and yes, it is setup to discourage spammers. We have a couple of the International forums that do not require a post count and they get hammered on a almost daily basis with Spam threads. At least with the new member forum, the members are quick to report the spammers, and we can kick them off the site.
