Imagine if that kid followed him back to his car, out of sheer rage, about being told what to do.
Imagine if that kid was nice with his hands...

I personally feel that the only way to normalise vaping is to make vaping seem normal.
So you believe that in the society, vaping should be the "norm"?
Vapers are a very small % of the society. I know it's easy to lose sight on that on a vaping forum.
Vaping is not like eating and breathing, i.e. something the human body has to do in order to stay alive.
In that respect, it is not the norm, and never will be. Vaping is simply a habit that people enjoy.
(Some people call it a hobby, although most hobbies are not something you *have* to do, I mean, you don't feel immediately uncomfortable from not doing it, nor antsy on airplanes, in restaurants, or long meetings where you can't practice your hobby )
So I'll stick with *habit*.
...There is lots of things we don't need. Pop. Cake. Alcohol. But it's acceptable.

Not everywhere...
Although what he was doing was rather uncool .....
I am not so sure it was your place to say anything to him. Like you, I do not vape in places like that but plenty here do.
Just because it is our personal choice not to do so does not really mean we could or should tell others what they have to do.
And usually there is a reason. No just I don't like it.
Don't worry. Legislators won't have any problems coming up with reasons for restricting vaping; and they certainly won't be just because they don't like it...
I find it interesting that almost every thread on this subject is started by someone who just joined ECF and has relatively few posts. I've been vaping for over 4 years and have never seen anything like this and I am in a major metropolitan area and in stores, shops and businesses every day.
I also find it quite childish that everyone of these "thread starters" condescendingly believe they must judge others and dictate vaping behavior. Let's see, isn't that exactly what all the liberal senators and ANTZ's are doing who want vaping banned - judging others based on their view of superiority and wanting to dictate how others live.
Give me a break.
This is one of the MOST DEPRESSING threads I have read on ECF.
I know everyone has opinions and rarely will they be the same, But WOW
Does everyone really feel they have to one up the other?
This thread has lost all focus and any chance at positive value.![]()
Not only that, threads should be closed and deleted when there is a difference of opinion. How dare anyone not believe in blowing clouds anywhere and everywhere...
This thread was never about blowing clouds everywhere.
Heh, you have never known a coder. Or an engineer. Or a musician. Or a writer. Or an actor. Or a dancer. Or any one of a number of hobbies/professions that take huge amounts of enthusiasm and practice.
Want to torture a musician? Make them be silent, completely, for more than a few minutes. No tapping of feet or humming, nothing.
But no one 'needs' music, either, so I suppose that's something people should just be able to do without. It should be the 'norm' to never have music around. (Even deaf people enjoy music. Not the same music I enjoy or at anything like those volumes :wince: but they do.)
