Ordered some Gold and silver from liberty flights, many of the reviews say on there how its a massive resemblence to bensen and hedges ciggerettes except when i got it was massively let down. So annoyed by how it had that many great reviews and most people saying its uncanny resemblence the real taste of cigs and then i get it and it tastes nothing like it...

Really dissapointed in this flavour, i even wrote to liberty flights on the off chance that maybe the bottles were labelled wrong or something.

Anyone know of any real good ciggerette tasting liquid where i can buy from liberty flights? something which wont let me down? i know you wont find an exact flavour but somethign at least which tastes similar...

Patrick,

Don't be too disappointed. Taste is very very subjective. All of the reviews that you've read are based on judgements from the perspective of the reviewer. Your taste buds are going to have a different perception of taste than someone else. Keep trying different tobacco juices and I'm sure you'll find one you like. Try to get samplers from different vendors. You'll find it!!!

I think the problem with Liberty Flights reviews is that they reward people with points every time they review. So some people will review stuff for those points, but they don't want to write anything negative about the company or their products.

I started with LF juice myself but found out quickly that I don't like it. I was mostly looking for tobacco flavors myself for a long time, but recently found out I prefer other stuff (Pina Colada, Coffee and some others). I haven't come across a tobacco flavor that's anywhere near the real thing, and I've tried a lot. I think it's because, well, cigarettes taste burnt, and it would be hard to mimic that. YMMV off course.

First, you will never find a juice that tastes like you are smoking a cigarette. Never. No matter what you hear others say.

Second. If you limit yourself to only buying with free shipping, you will have a hard time finding a good juice supplier. Pay the $5 and try a few different vendors!

Third. try a few flavors that you wouldn't think of before. Tobacco flavors are OK, but you might like sweet or fruity flavors too.

In my experiences Liberty Flights does credit you $0.49 a review but it doesnt matter if you write a negative or positive review it stills credits your account. If its a bad review they could very well delete the review though, who knows.

That's correct, but I think some people just don't like writing negative reviews, and the fact that they get some money for it will influence their review at least a little bit. Also, some people who are just starting out and that haven't tried anything else they can compare to will also be tempted to write reviews. Off course that's just my opinion, but I take the reviews with a grain of salt.

One thing I didn't see mentioned above is steeping.

IDK if that juice will change much, I haven't tried it. I do know that some flavors take time to develop if they were shipped fresh. 2 weeks later they taste much different.

Then again... add menthol if you don't mind it, or mix it in with some other flavors (caramel tobacco is good, mocha, chocolate, nut... turn it into RY4 ish stuff, etc.). Sometimes you can make a juice palatable this way. You won't get a fantastic result, but it may not be bad.

I agree with the above that no juice is exactly cig-like.

Good Luck!

Personally, I think the best way to try juices is when you can catch a good sale. Since taste is so subjective, you can't go by what someone else may like or dislike. At least if you catch a good sale, if you don't like it, you haven't wasted as much money. Trades and swaps are another good way. If you have something someone else wants, they may have something you want. I recently acquired a highly coveted juice that way, and got rid of one that I really didn't care for. Win-win!

Sometimes it's not the juice, but the method you are using to vape it. Try LF juices in a Boge 510 carto (or whatever carto size you need for your battery). Cartos are a much better vape than a filler fed cart commonly used by the ecig makers.

Voltage is also a factor. Some juices are better at 3.4v (Joye Ego/510) and others don't blossom until 3.7v (Riva).

I found Liberty Flights Tobacco to be a surprisingly good vape in a 510 Boge carto. I'll probably pick up another bottle on my next order.

The closest iv found to a cig even though i havent been looking specifically for cig taste as i prefer bakery style juices is mixing 3parts nhaler RY4 with 1 part nhaler Nuport . Its almost a perfect newport cig taste . Basically the ry4 mellows out the menthol while giving it a slight sweet tabacco taste .

My mission this summer was to vape through the mountain of flavors I have accumulated since I started vaping. One trick that I have been using to vape the less than desireable flavors is some simple VG dilution. I bought a bottle of Humco Glycerin(VG) at Walmart (several ounces for like 3 bucks and change). For those nasty flavors I just dilute it about 30% with the VG and it makes that sickly flavor much more mellow so I can vape it and perhaps even enjoy it a little bit. I think some flavors are simply just mixed too strong and diluting them down a bit has turned some real gross flavors into something pretty decent. Also, this will dilute the nicotine concentration as well, just so you know.

Note: I was born with some kind of depressionary brain that just cannot throw anything away. Food, clothes, nic juice, etc. If it can be used it must be used, NO WASTE! But thats just me. If you hate the juice you can also try to sell it on the classifieds here on ECF as another option. Or just toss it.

I'm now realizing this is a bit off topic, but since I've already typed it out I'm just gonna post it anyway :p

Oh and plenty of good advice here. Aging the juice can affect the flavor, usually positively. Different hardware can make the taste different and of course there are tons and tons of vendors out there each with their own unique flavors. Keep an eye on the classifieds here on ECF, sometimes you can snag a big handfull of samples for a cheap price if thats something you may be interested in. Good luck and keep in vaping!
