My Vamo died. Was working fine, didn't use it for a few days, put in a battery and noticed there was no LED flash when the battery cap was installed. Tried to power on, nothing. Tried 4 more batteries, all known to be good and fully charged, nothing.
It was about 3 1/2months old and used little. I never really cared for the size, weight, poor finish quality or the smell of copper on my hands but it was a suitable device to use in the house.......... while it lasted.

Same thing happen to me after 2 months. I found the connector at the head end of the battery compartment fell off. There was no way to solder it on. I ended returning it and got a SID. I also got a Vamo v3. Both work great.

I think the problem was the 18650 flat top battery was so lose that it would bang back and forth and finally the connector fell off.

I took mine apart and all seemed to be in tact. I think the circuit board crapped out. I won't be getting another Vamo but I'm looking for something as functional/simple that doesn't weigh 200 grams and leave copper smell on my hands.
I'm considering the SID but I want a simple menu.

The SId menu is not that bad 5-10 minutes of playing with it and your a master. Very light.

If you ordered from Fasttech, I believe they have a 6 month warranty. Wouldn't hurt to see if they make good on it; everyone raves about their customer service.

Really? I tried to fill out an RMA online and I havent heard back and its been 5 days now.... I cant call because I work funky hours, and cant call while they are open usually.

I've never dealt with them, so I don't know. The only thing I can tell you is I constantly hear people raving about them on ECF. My post was suggesting the OP see if what everyone seems to be saying had any merit. Sucks that they haven't gotten to you yet. Pretty much every company is easy to get along with when things are going in the company's favor (like ordering more stuff). You don't know their true colors until something goes wrong and they have to make good on it.

I hope it all works out.

I filled a third out last night. For some reason the first 2 took me to a captcha page then nothing, this time I got a ticket number so we will see how it goes.

I'm intersted to see how it unfolds. I've got one on the way and want to know about the what ifs.

Got a response around 11pm finally. They said I have to ship it back then they will ship a new one. I replied and told them I won't have a shipping address to ship to until the first of the month since I'm moving and I have yet to get a reply. I may just swing by cigtechs after work today and snag a zmax since I've had my eye on them anyway, lol. Then I can send the one back to fasttech and not be modless for 2-3 weeks since they will ship the package to il, which will get forwarded to Texas and held onto by my parents till I move I into my new apartment in Chicago. Been wanting a telescopic zmax anyway, here's my excuse to get one, lol.

Edit: just checked my inbox, they replied and said not a problem. I now asked if I can keep my long battery tube since that works fine and they don't ship those out anymore.

What if you have it shipped to a friend/family member, then have them get it to you once you're settled? It'll add a few days to the wait, but at least you know you'll get it. I wouldn't trust the Post Office to forward it correctly; I've had problems with it.

I guess this is another reason why the veterans say have backups for your backups lol.

Next time spend the money on a Quality USA mod...... Provaris are bullet proof!

Stopped by Cigtechs on my way home from work today, grabbed a Sigelei telescopic V3, some more aqua razz and some berry crunch. It was a high paying week of work, so I decided I would just buy the Sigelei right then and there.
