DIY 100mg Price vs Quality

What a great forum with tons of information, Ive purchased a ego-c and not happy, but through the help of this forum and the youtube posts have figured out all the leaking issues and have been experimenting with several different setups and now i am looking into DIY Liquid. There are a lot of companies that sell 100mg strength, and yes i understand, accept the risk involved. Based on an informal poll of mine there are 2 online sites that people buy from or recommend. Out of respect i will not name the companies but the price difference is huge. One is $329 for 1L 100mg and the other is $139. Both sites have been highly recommended with a few negatives here and there. I don't mind spending the extra for quality but is there a way to truly tell the quality.

If I was you I would order a Small Bottle from both and see if you can tell the Difference between the two.

If you can’t, go for the Cheaper one.

I always buy nic liquid from RTS. They have very good, clean nic juice at a fair price. Shipping is a little on the expensive side if you only buy a small bottle..........

Before I got really involved, I bought some premixed base close to the strength I vape and just fooled with flavorings. You might hate your DIY attempts and could have used the $100 on premixed.

You don't have to purchase 100 mg. For example, you could get 36 mg nic and mix it 50/50 with either pg or vg. Add some flavoring and you have around 18 mg. nic juice. (A little less due to adding flavoring).

I'd go small first. See how you do.

instead of dropping a ton of cash on a huge thing of nic, i would go smaller... i would recommend myfreedomsmokes for a smaller thing of nic. or buy a DIY kit at DIYflavorshack.

I have always bought mine from Chris at myfreedomsmokes and never had problems. If Chris isn't happy with a shipment that he gets, he won't sell it, or if there is ever an issue, he takes care of it. You might want to consider buying some unflavored pg/vg first and some flavorings and play around with it first. If not and you want to jump in feet first, start with a small bottle from both vendors and see which one you like the best.

Goodprophets also has a fairly solid sale on their 36mg/ml nic base. I tend towards 60 mg/ml from Voidmist, but really like the GP price point, and I've been happy with the quality. I've tested some of it, coming in at just about what it should be (within my limit of error).

For 100mg/ml, I've bought from MyFreedomSmokes, on sale. Again, very solid price, good quality.

I convert to how many mg/$ I am getting, for price comparison. If the numbers are equal, I'll actually go slightly towards lower mg, 60 or even 36, since it is easier to work with at small quantity, and cuts down on the filler (plain VG and PG) that I have to add.

Consistent with a previous comment, I waited until I had about 3 months before starting out DIY. I'm an engineer by background, numbers and measuring comes naturally to me, but early on I just needed to become comfortable with vaping, wrap my arms around things. My tastes were so variable that DIY while kind of fun would have included a lot of throwaway.

I just bought some at Wizard labs last night. Super cheap so I just bought a little first to see if it's good. You can buy 24mg all the way to 100mg plus PG, VG, bottles, mixing tools, and flavorings all at the same price. I just opted for 120ml of 24 mg like swedishfish said and plan to add some flavors to start. Once I know I can do that I may move to a higher Nic %. I don't know about the quality but the prices are SUPER cheap. i'll let you know how it is when I try it.

I've herd good things about RTS vapes sense the site I was buying from had some quality control issues it will probably be where I'll be buy from when I need to restock but buying a small bottle first is probably good advice some nic is more peppery then others and some taste more like pesticide then I like.

Highdesert is a frequent alternate recommendation for RTS. Apparently highdesert actually sells RTS nic, but buys volume so often undercuts RTS prices at smaller quantities. I don't know for sure, this is just what I've seen mentioned.

It's not the Cheapest but I think the Quality is Outstanding.

BTW - Cheapest and Best Seldom Go Together IMO.

^^ Good to know, thanks ... accurate Nic concentrations is one thing that has always concerned me.
