Hello - I have just received delivery of all my DealExtreme bits and pieces and wanted to attempt this mod tonight as i think the instructions are great and i really like the look of the finished product.

There is only one part causing me concern however... I am unable to find somewhere local that sells 30 gauge wire. I don't know too much about wiring and such - trying to learn now however - but the closest I could find is 30 gauge magnet wire at radio shack (315-Ft. Magnet Wire Set - RadioShack.com)

Will this do the job? I am guessing not as I assume the wire needs to be insulated and I don't know if enamel coating counts as insulation? The only other wires at Radio shack are things like 22 gauge speaker wire and so on but would wire that thick work or does it need to be 34 specifically?

Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated as I experiment my way into the world of electronics :)

Thanks! I am think about making like 10-20 of these and sell them as a complete kit to get more funds for equipments like a drill press/lather etc. The new equipment can help me product my mods easier and probably improve the quality of my step-by-step guides. Would you guys be interested? thinking about selling these for like $45 shipped in the US. Just a thought.

Hello guys, just joined the forum.
But, have been watching from the rail for a couple of weeks now.
Yes, Opus I think is a good idea.
I'll spend $45 bucks for one of your kits.
PM and we can go from there.
FYI, I'm in San Diego, California
