In the DIY section, there's a thread on New Super Concentrated Flavors (from vaping Zone). I think the Black and Mild was mentioned as being something that would make a good Boba's base. I haven't tried the B&M, but all of the tobaccos that I have tried from them have been really nice.

I like the Fr. Pipe a lot, but I never thought of Boba when vaping it. Sounds like the B&M will be closer. But maybe some additions would get the FP closer. It has been a while since I tried Boba, but I remember thinking that I tasted FA cocoa in it. I think any of the dark chocolates like cocoa, TPA double chocolate dark, or Cap. double chocolate could bring FP toward the Boba taste... either way, dark chocolate FP sounds pretty good. I'll have to try that.

I could see that, maybe. And yeah, since apparently those flavors are fairly new, I don't expect they would've used them. Definately some flue cured flavoring, although a little bit. That's actually what made me think B&M was close, having mixed some with a little bit of flue cured. You can always tell if something has flue cured in it... Distinct pungent aroma, lol.

I never thought that they actually use the B&M either... but if you can get closer to the flavor that you're after with a newer flavoring, then who cares? I did finally get some of the B&M, and have to agree that it does seem like it would be a good base for a Boba imitation attempt. Mine hasn't steeped very long, so it may change (I've read that a lot of the chocolate taste goes away).
For me, FA cocoa (or something really similar) really stands out as one of the flavors in Boba (which B&M reminds me of so far).

Mira mentioned on another thread: tapioca. Bobas does taste like bubble tea (aka boba tea) which contains tapioca starch balls.

That matches perfectly with the comments from the maker "Its SO SIMPLE!". Its staring right at us. Boba doesn't refer to a famous star wars bounty hunter. Its in the juice!
Just wondering where do we find a tapioka or bubble tea flavoring?
Kinda complicates things there are hundreds of varieties of bubble tea

Only thing I could find:
Tapioca Syrup, 22 oz.: Amazon.com: Grocery & Gourmet Food

The problem with Tapioca is that it's a starch. Just to make the syrup they have to use enzymes to break the starch into a sugar so it'll dissolve.

I guess you could take it further and convert the sugar to alcohol and then cook it a little to drive the alcohol off. There is little or no info on tapioca extract except by the anti-gluten demographic out there, and there seem to be no-online shops for it.

That said...Cassava extract is an insecticide. So, doubt that's it. :D

Bobas Bounty tastes exactly like Levi Garret Plug Chew. I know because that was the first chew I ever tried and was the last as well due to me from swallowing it and puking for hours. BB has a raisin and molasses taste to it with tobacco. I actually think they might even just extract Levi Garret chew to make this stuff. Might be a long shot but at least a close attempt IMO.
