A month ago I bought FA's Oba-Oba, FA's Hypnotic Myst, and TFA's Hpno. Being a Big Fan of FA, I expected to like their flavors best and thought I'd like that HypnOba recipe a lot. I mixed single flavors first. Oba-Oba tasted like a bland vanilla to me, not as appealing as FA's actual vanilla flavors. I couldn't place the flavors in Hypnotic Myst, but I didn't like it enough to make a bigger bottle. TFA's Hpno sure grabbed me! I taste grapefruit without the bitterness, sort of like grapefruit soda. I use it fairly often when I'm tired of "heavier" flavors. It's refreshing. The FA samples went into my storage drawer...
...Then I saw on this thread and dug out my FA samples. Oba-Oba still tastes vanilla to me after sitting a month - no tobacco in my opinion. The liquid changed to light orangey-pink, so I guess you "steepers" would call it ready
Hypnotic Myst is still a light blend of I-dunno-what, not objectionable, just not enough personality or discernable flavors to wow me.
I mixed various combinations as people have posted here, using my aged samples. Oba-Oba plus TFA's Hpno (I used more Hpno than Oba-Oba) is a smooth vanilla-grapefruit-lightcream vape, not bad. I didn't care for any other combos. The recipe with Brown Sugar Extra tastes a little like tobacco to me, but I think that's just my personal reaction to Brown Sugar flavor. Banana Nut Bread I made with Brown Sugar Extra tasted like smoking a banana, lol.
I'm surprised Oba and Hypnotic Myst didn't wow me, because FA is my favorite manufacturer lately. I use 40+ of their flavors regularly, but these 2 are not among my favorites. They're not terrible to me, so I'll eventually try some other blends to make use of them. Maybe Lime will mix well with one or both.
My TFA Hpno is getting a workout! I made a Rum Punch using it with FW's Pina-Colada (pineapple-coconut), FA Apricot, Lime, Mandarin, and Jamaican Rum. Tasty! I also liked Hpno with FW Gingerale and FA Apricot. FA Apricot is delicious, by the way.
