I can tell you about the Hypno when I get it. I've had Hypno from TFA. To me, it tastes like Hypnotiq Liquor exactly. Beyond that, it taste similar to Squirt pop, which I imagine is close to that Fresca you mentioned. For the TFA I did 10%

Thanks Rin13!

Based on my taste-buddy-memory, Squirt was very much like Fresca...but Fresca had the edge on citrus peel & grapefruit "intensity". So it seems we're mostly in agreement on the TFA Hypno/Hpno. I've never tried the Hypnotiq :)::sigh::: back in my early bartender days, I burned myself out on all the flavored liqueurs, and haven't tried a new one in decades).

I could only handle the Fresca/Squirt sodas occasionally myself, so after I figgered out TFA was like them, I set it aside. (However I did mix up a sample with half Hypno & half Grape juice that had potential). Honestly, the idea of mixing TFA Hypno with Oba makes my face scrinch up funny. But these chemicals do crazy things to each other, and things that sound good end up being bad, and vice versa...

'Just ordered 30ml of Oba Oba and 10ml of Hypnotic Mist. I'm seriously looking forward to trying the Hypnotic Mist...and have been since I read the review that said something like "if relaxation was a flavor, this'd be it". (I'm just not into heavy/intense flavors at this stage of the game).

From the descriptions, it seems to me that Oba Oba would possibly mellow the citrus/sour notes in the Hypnotic a little. Oba Oba is described to have cream soda/vanilla/candyish qualities, that I imagine would compliment the citrus notes in the Hypnotic. It wasn't my intention to mix the two of these when I bought them but I definitely will be now.

Red? That's pretty cool. Never had a flavor that changed the color of liquid to anything but gold/amber.
The color changes drastically if steeped. It'll start clear and turn a deep red after a few weeks. The flavor mellows a bit, but doesn't transform much.

Wow...

I'm thinking: marshmallow-cream-vanilla-candy topped with intense grapefruit wedges & citrus (bitter-ish) peel... Hmmm, those flavors seem to complement each other (to me), about the same as a caramel sundae topped with a big dollop of juicy tuna!

Eh, eh, but after years in cooking/restaurants/bartending I "k-n-o-w know" that just because somethin' sounds 'conflicting' to me...if others like it, it's mightly-likely I be a'missin' sumpin'. And I don't wanna miss out, so I'll be mixin' up a batch soon!

Red? That's pretty cool. Never had a flavor that changed the color of liquid to anything but gold/amber.

The addition of vanillin crystals (depending upon percentage) will steep into a very pretty pale 'salmon pink', all the way to deep 'blood red'. Heat seems to 'hurry it up'.

Did you get the FA HM or the TFA?

I already had the TFA Hypno (renamed to Hpno I think) - so it's the FA HM I got. The difference in smell is...a LOT different! The HM smells softer & lighter (maybe even more "plush"), with far less of the tinge of 'grapefruit/bitter citrus'. It's got a hint of something intriguing (maybe along the lines of a maraschino/almond flavor in hiding) - and some kind of herbal notes (again, very soft). It seems more "fruity" over all than "citrus-y"...but I do catch a slight waft of sweet citrus.

Yep, I've definitely 'overthought & oversmelled' this one now - time to get it mixed up and find out what it's all about for real!

I got the FA HM to and it smells wonderful. I'll mix the two together tomorrow.

Ok. SO I've had the Hypnotic Mist and Oba Oba for a minute now... and first off. TFA Hypnotic is NOTHING like F.A. Hypnotic mist. As indicated above, Flavour Art's version is MUCH more mild, less citrus-y and more sweet. It's not bad... just nothing like it. I did the Hypnoba recipe someone mentioned but it calls for TFA's version, which I do believe would make it better as w/ the FA it's pretty dang sweet. While I do like sweet vapes, I do not like SUPER sweet vapes and prefer them to be a little sour. (like Pixie Dust, amazing)
So... it looks like eventually I will have to repurchase some TFA Hypnotic and brown sugar so I can make the legit concoction. I think I will like it.
Hypnotic mist on it's own is interesting. I believe I mixed it at 5% but I'll be bumping it up. It's a mild flavor. Sweet w/ a hint of citrus but it's very very slight.
Oba Oba is very good. Tastes like cream soda and something else I can't quite figure out. Anyone have some Oba Oba recipes besides the Hypnoba, please share
