Hi all,

Just wondering if someone could give me a basic starter flavor panel.

I have plenty of Nic juice, VG and PG ( well, trying to find the best price on PG).

I also have menthol and am planning on getting some Acetyl Pyrazine
because of its versatility.

I am just wondering like what other flavors are good to procure when starting out. On a budget :)

I agree whole heartily with Purely, here. I haven't personally tried the pineapple, but I've heard nothing but good from many people on it. The rest he listed I have tried, and agree completely.

I would also add:

Double Ry4 (must try!)
Black Honey Tobacco

And if you're looking onto other vendors/suppliers, I would also recommend:

Black and Mild (Vaping Zone super concentrated flavoring)
Coconut (Same as above)
Vanilla Custard (Capella)
Caramel (Capella)
Chocolate Fudge Brownie (Capella)

Are some to name that I personally enjoy.

Gaaah! Only two of those are in my order that shipped today. Pretty soon, WL will be saying, "Oh it's gcvt ordering again!" :p

I think it would depend on what flavors you like. Tobacco? Fruity? Desert? What do you vape now?

When I started typing the post, one of my cats insisted on placing herself on my lap for a brief snuggle and a nap. So since my arms had become her bed, I was typing with odd fingers at weird angles; thus making the brevity of my entry slightly broad, even nebulous.

Instead of typing "sent from my corn-cob phone using crapatalk" to excuse my errors, I should have entered in " sent with a purring feline snuggling blissfully in my lap using extraordinary fingers contorted in yoga like positions" :)

Yet I digress; (Cats are my secret literary muses at the moment)

I have been vaping Cuban cigar mixed with cherry and vanilla, occasionally mentholated. This is as close to the elusive ADV as I've come. Prior to that it was so variable it is difficult to nail it down.

I like a good RY4...

By the way I just made, just now my FIRST DIY juice, which is Asian RY4. I am shaking and steeping it wondering how long I can hold out 'til I sample it :) WOO-HOO!!!!

But I was on this chocolate chili thing for a long while also.( I do have a bottle of TFA Double Chocolate I rec'd as a sample)

Honestly what I REALLY dig is the 7-leaf from ECB. I can vape it with almost anything and it's so smooth that it never wears out my taste for it.

So, fruits yes, but also good rich tobacco flavs. I also really like Halo's Torque 56. MMM good.

What I was trying to put together flavors which are synergistic to each other, to save a buck or two. And I think the suggestions y'all have made are awesome. Just may need to wait for some as this recent doctor visit ouched my wallet.

I have recently switch to VapingZone SUPER CONCENTRATES....just because a little goes a LONG way....saving money.

So far I have been using VZ Real Cig, Tobacco Blend (sweet, but smooth), Black and Mild (didn't care for it initially...haven't been using it), Menthol, Vanilla, and Caramel.

These are great flavors. I just recently made another order for a few of the fruits and the cream. I like that it only takes 1-3% in mix. All of my bottles are 5ml, and I have made over 250ml of juice with plenty of flavoring left. They don't have a huge selection, but the basics are there.

I just recently tried some Vaping Zone Concentrates. So far I am impressed. The Butterball Candy seems like one I'll be going to very often and also as a mixer. Very nice flavor. I did 6 drops (0.15ml) in 5.8 ml of base for 2.52% flavor. Next batch I'll try 5 drops. Caramel Mocha is pretty good too. Also mixed Caramel Cream Puff, Cocoa Chocolate and Virginia Flue Cured but have not vaped those yet.
I really like the concentrate idea. I have been trying to vape less flavorings and these concentrates look like they'll get me there.

A basic set of flavors might contain Caramel, Vanilla, Honey, Ethyl Malto, Acetyl Pyrazine, Koolada and a sweetener. Add a few as you go along, the flavors from Fruits, Nuts, Beverages and Candies that you prefer.

The TFA honey tastes NOTHING like real honey and the Acetyl Pyrazine smells and tastes like corn chips. Two flavors I wish I never bought. It was suggested that I buy honeysuckle to emulate the honey flavor I was after and I gotta say it gets the job done pretty well.

Why do you always leave the l off the word ethyl matol? I swear I've seen you do that before...

It really depends on what juice flavors appeal to you. Be sure to try multiple flavoring brands to know what appeals to you the most. If you want a good variety of brands to try go to ecigexpress where they have the most variety in one store.
He said he wants a basic starter flavor panel. Meaning a little of everything so he can see what he likes. He also said he is on a budget, which is why I gave a list of WL flavors because that is the cheapest place to get them.(Mostly fruits, which are easy for beginners because they require the least amount of steeping, along with a few others)
Ecigexpress flavors are expensive, especially the Capella. 1.50 isn't much to lose if you don't like a flavor. 6$ is another story. ;)

Tobacco flavors are weird. I suggest you by the small 10 mL bottles until you find some you like.

For making tobacco style juices in general, the basic starters IMO are

Ethyl Maltol
Ethyl Vanillin
Caramel
Chocolate
Coffee
Acetyl Pyrazine

Vape Wizard (FlavourArt) or something like it.

I also suggest you expand with

Various Nut flavors (Hazel Nut, Peanut, etc)
Some Cream Flavors (Bavarian Creme, Sweet Creme)
Peanut Butter
Butter

Ecigexpress sells TFA as well, the same ones that are at the Wizard's site and a whole boatload of other flavors. I was suggesting a store that offers the most variety. Variety is the spice of life---some aren't happy with TFA -- others are.

And please stop critiquing my posts- thank you.

Link? I didn't think they had TFA...

I buy most of my stuff from ECX because I like to experiment with large numbers of small quantities, and a little lower price does not go far if you pay shipping from a bunch of different places.

ECX has a boatload of TFA (AKA TPA AKA Perfumer's Apprentice) flavors, they brand them as "Signature" series flavors but they are manufactured by TFA (TPA).
