Coffee flavored juice has baffled me since I started vaping. Any coffee flavoring I've tried is dark, and therefore an atty killer. Chinese coffee ejuice doesn't taste like coffee, but a couple of supplier have American made (I think) coffee juices that do taste more or less like coffee and are clear. So somehow, whoever makes their juices has access to clear coffee flavoring or clear something-that-resembles-coffee flavoring. I want to know where WE can get that to make DIY clear coffee juice? Granted, I've never tried a lot, basically only Lorann, which is dark, and Fairie's Finest, which is dark and I swear has COFFEE GROUNDS in it.

So to sum up my question, where can we buy CLEAR coffee flavoring?

Hi Judy! :) Most flavorings are made from flavor molecules so I doubt your coffee actually has grounds in it. I vape a lot of chocolate and it's quite dark. In my 10 months of vaping I've only lost one atty (that wasn't defective to start) so I'm not convinced all dark juice will damages attys. As to your question, I've only used dark-colored coffee flavorings and the only thing I can think of is using flavor molecules. That's probably going to take more knowledge than most of us here have, but I could be wrong.

Are your atomizers dying after using the dark flavor on it? If so, there is a Coffee (Kona) by Perfumer's Apprentice which is relatively clear.

Color does not mean all that much, although it can be an indicator of something wrong if you know exactly which chemical is which color. Many flavoring chemicals which vaporize just fine and don't cause any problems are dark colored, while there are some clear colored ingredients that will damage your atomizer (for example, dissolve sugar in your e-liquid and watch your clear liquid kill your atomizer).

As for what you've tried, Faerie's Finest uses organic ingredients for many of their flavors so some may contain plant matter and that might be the problem there. LorAnn's Coffee has been agreed on to be bad, but you might try their Keoke Coffee which is fairly popular (or is that what you have?).

The FlavourArt Coffee Espresso should be extremely dark (as I've purchased directly from them twice) and their Cappuccino is lighter but still dark. Now I'm curious, where did you get them from that they were lighter in color?
hmmm... interesting, I just received them from ecig express on Wednesday. The cafe espresso is about the same color as their mandarin and about the same color as PA vanilla bean ice cream. Of course I guess my mandarin could be a different color than yours as well.... Definitely smells like espresso...
Oh well, hopefully there will be a new FA supplier stateside soon.....

I was in the same boat with regards to Coffee - could never find one I liked and I tried a lot. I got a sample of Perfumers Apprentice with the title "Coffee Extra Clear". I'm in the testing phase at the moment but it's pretty good and no atty issues. Not sure if she's added it yet so you might have to check the samples or in testing area of the site. Good luck !

@VaporSmith, nice find. Her site has had that flavor listed as being added to the main section soon for a while, so I'm sure it will be available shortly.

Nevermind, I was mistaken nightsong - I looked at a picture I had of a some FA but miscounted. Went and checked the actual flavor, and I'd say say the Espresso is brown and the Cappuccino is yellow. Not quite clear, but at least not too dark. So nothing wrong with ecigExpress.

I got some FA Cappuccino Smooth that was not dark at all from a different vendor. Maybe the smooth is a lot lighter and that's what Nightsong has?

Thanks for the update Nikhil, was rather worried there for a minute as I just bought a dozen or so flavors from there.
Here's a pic:

Sorry for the cell pic but you can see the colors, cappucinno on the left, cafe espresso on the right.

I don't believe FA sells a Cappuccino Smooth flavoring as it is not listed on their website. I have tried the Cappuccino Smooth juice from freedomsmokeusa but that's a pre-mixed specialty, not a flavoring although they use FA flavoring in their mixes.

That was just me being stupid; some of us should not post until we've got a pot of coffee in us. Indeed, it is labeled as just cappuccino. I don't know where the heck I came up with the Smooth part. Maybe it was something that was recommended when I first started looking for a sweet creamy coffee. Mea culpa!

fsusa has both the cappaccino and cap smooth liquids. Cap smooth is amber and gets darker. Cappaccino is clear to slight amber after 1 month:blink:

Dark is not a problem. Never had atty issues with chocolate or coffee. Particulates are a problem, such as in many tobacco juices. And the colors shown above, as was intimated to indirectly, could simply be a time thing. Over time most juices get darker from nic oxidation products, even unflavored juices will go yellow or rose colored.

As is R&R Vaporz, who often have specials on their FA flavors; $3 for 5 ml on some flavors. I can't remember what the coupon code is for them offhand.

They have that special on now. Be sure to click on the "Deal of the Week" on the left menu, otherwise you'll see options starting a 4ml for $3.75. Shipping is reasonable and coupon code ecfmetalbom saves you another 5%, so if they have the flavor you want it's a good deal. Just got my order today!

I think my issue with dark colour is that you can't see what else might be floating around in there. I LOVED the flavour of the DIY I made with Lorann coffee (not Keoke, just plain coffee), but it definitely hurt my atomizers. I've used Lorann raspberry which is red, or their banana is extremely yellow, and no problem with those. But the really dark brown ones are mystery fluids so I avoid them.
