Hi all, I wanted to add my crafty contribution to the
thread (I'll add pics when I figure out how to)
My little boy has CF and a congenital heart diformaty resulting in him tiring quickly so fopr now whenwe are out we always have his pushchair with us, down side is it gets really cold which isn't good for him but he is too tall for the cosytoes we can
buy so I made my own, from a sleeping bag!, I cut it to length (allowing room for him to grow a bit more), used the seat liner as a template to cut the holes for the harness and added short drawer strings to close it slightly round his shoulders (not long enough though to risk getting tangled though). I then sprayed the lower half with the stuff you can use to waterproof boots and low and behold, I had what we have affectionately called the 'Toddler toes'. Since he is schedules for corrective surgery next spring by next winter he should be strong enough to manage walking around with us so the buggy will be retired and I won't have had to shell out for an expensive wheelchair and accesories (but if he needs it he will have it).
