I can't get cheesecake to work for me either. I always wonder if these two flavors have a chemical in them that only certain people can taste (perhaps barfizine or barfaldehyde?), kind of like broccoli does. I do, however, love real cheesecake.

i even tried to kill it with super strong cherry and sweetener....still tasted like a dirty sock mopped up sour milk...with a cherry on top..

Urine is in coffee flavoring??? I guess it's no worse than beaver .... gland juice for raspberries.

Heh, you folks are bringing back not-so-fond memories.

The strawberry cheesecake that tasted like burnt popcorn with a twist of citrus lightly scorched over the top.
The look on my sister's face when I gave her an experiment of 15% TPA Kona.
The rootbeer that was more like wintergreen spiced hog runoff.

So many experiments that required a fresh healing of my sense of taste. They light the corner of my mind, such precious memories...

I think Mellow Sunset from FlavourArt was my worst... and it was just straight. 1%, 2%, 5%.... all tastes like puke to me. Spicy, acidic, metallic... just awful.
The only other one I can think of that was not good was the Pluid Clone I decided to wing. Vaped like Lysol. I can't remember the exact percentages because I pitched the recipe after the results... But it had lemon-lime, absinthe, orange cream, and creme de menthe. It wasn't putrid, IMO... but not pleasant as you really don't want to be ingesting lemon/lime cleanser.

Well, she pretty much screamed/gagged out her anger out at that moment. Me laughing with tears rolling down my face didn't make her any calmer. But she knows I'm like that. The family calls them my "Leland moments" as that was the name of the orneriest man who ever walked the earth and whom I spent most of my summer months and other time out of school being raised by. I'm to never submit her to any coffee experiments ever again as agreed. I just mixed up a couple bottles of my Peppermint Gum for her yesterday. (She likes the stuff after I get the recipes right, but I lost a guinea pig with that one.)

Great thread!

I really don't mind experimenting and failing with 5ml test batches. The worst tasting one I ever made I've probably blocked what flavors were involved from memory but I still remember the taste of it. It was right after Capella had the 50% off sale a few months ago? I think it involved "Cake Batter", "Vanilla Custard" and something else. It was already horrible and since I was using one drop of each flavor it was getting near "flavor overload" no matter what I did next, but I added "Pancake" or "Maple Syrup" or both?

I honestly can't remember but I do remember it was like vaping toothpaste (which would be bad enough), but this was like vaping a very "spicy" toothpaste. It was horrid. Vaping it was almost as bad as swallowing toothpaste.

HA!

But it's cool. The biggest disaster I've had in the d.i.y juice game so far was one time I was trying to get a stubborn lid off a 500ml VG bottle that was about half-full. Somehow as I finally got the lid off I had the lid in my hand the bottle rolled over the front of my kitchen counter and landed on the floor; spilling about 50-100ml on the kitchen counter and floor.

After one mopping the floor was still so slippery that it was hazardous but one more mopping session took care of it.

HA!

Did it give your floor a nice gloss, at least? Lol

Thank you for this thread, I needed a laugh.

My worst disaster is pretty common (I've read a couple of posts where other people did the same thing). Made up a batch of TFA Caramel Cappucino at 20%. (Recommended at 1%.) I think it permanently scarred my taste buds or something since I've never since found a coffee flavor I can handle (and I LOVE coffee).

Thread is hilarious! Cat piss coffee anyone??? I've read everywhere how hard it can be to make a "good" coffee vape, but since it's one of my fave's...gotta keep trying...Didn't feel so bad, although kinda disgusted, when I read somewhere urine is one of the flavor notes in coffee flavorings..EWWWWW! I figured I must be onto something, I mean I brought out one of the flavor notes right??!!

Try vapingzones super concentrate coffee. I'm hooked on it. Or get a cat and make your own coffee flavoring:)

I'm not a menthol vaper but wanted a change of pace so I went out and got myself a bottle of menthol and went to work. Not researching how much to use and being very new to DYI I made a 5ml batch and started to count drops of menthol 1,2,3,4,5,6 that should be enough. I shook it really well and put a few drops in my atte and took a nice big puff. As I came back too, flat on my back looking up at the ceiling I noticed the vape plume. I wasn't sure if it was vapor or frost and my nose felt a bit frost bitten. I went to the sink to get a drink of water which tasted like it just came out of the freezer. Teeth chattering I though let me drink a nice hot cup of coffee. The cup of coffee felt nice and warm in my hands but tasted like ice coffee. The moral of the story as it's been said here "Start low and work your way up".

It looked like I had "waxed" it! You would think VG would make a tiled floor sticky but it was so slick/slippery that it really was a hazard. I didn't want to go to bed without mopping it and that seemed to take care of it. Then the next morning it was slick/slippery again. One more mopping took care of it.

Of course; right after it happened it was on the soles of my shoes also, which didn't help matters at all! HA!
