@dennism , you will never learn more about DIY than by trying to fix a failed mix. I PROMISE!
Seriously, I have learned more by fixing failed mixes than I have anyplace else (apart from maybe single flavor testing).
There has only been one mix I didn't try to fix (chocolate milk and IDK why I even TRIED. I don't even like chocolate milk that much, LOL) it was vomitous. LOL.
But everything else I've been able to fix to my satisfaction and not gonna lie, it's one of the harder things to do but it was worth it (for me).
I mean alternately proceed as planned, but just using them as additives well, I'm sure it can be good but you are missing out on 99% of the benefits of DIY where you add all the ingredients.
Try to fix ONE, just one and see what happens. You may be shocked, plus I (personally) enjoy fixing mah errorz. Mostly.
I mean if you really don't want to, don't and if you are using the ACTUAL MIXES as additives, well yeah, you'd still get some cost savings that way. If you are using the one shots themselves to add a drop or two to ready made mixes, that's different.
If it's the former and you are liking the results, well forget everything I said, I am in errorz land, etc. LOL.
