Diy hookah to multiple passthrough conversion

I saw a picture in another thread that I cannot find now but it was basically an art deco ash tray that was made into a e-hookah. I used to lounge around hookah at least once a day and would love to build one of these out of one of my old hookahs. Was thinking of modifying three hoses to fit a passthrough and basically converting the stem into a usb hub. Now the problem... How? What would I need to accomplish this? The one I saw said they used an ac/dv converter. Would I need to do any soldering? Or could I just buy a usb hub with external power supply and gut it and fit the pieces into my old hookah? Any advice? REALLY hoping this is possible with what small amounts of electrical knowledge I currently possess but I'm VERY willing to learn to get this thing built.

This isn't exactly what you're asking for, but let me share something I have set up. Maybe you can work off of it.

I mounted on my desk 4 rca jacks. I connected 3 of them to the 5V rail and 1 to the 3.3v rail of a atx power supply. (you could use any number of jacks connected to whichever voltage you want, you could also mount the jacks to an old hookah or something)

I then made 4 pass throughs. 3 super cheap ones made from 10 cent breakproof test tubes, 510 to ego adapters, a push button switch, and 4 feet of wire with an rca connector on the end. And 1 variable watt box for the 3.3v jack. I painted them all and epoxy coated them , and they work great. I clip them to my desk with tool hanger clips.

You could probably do something similar, just hide the wires inside the hookah hoses. This would also give the flexibility of having different flavors on each hose.
