So I decided to get into diy after seeing how relatively easy it is to get a basic e liquid. I was advised by some of the ecf members to get 100mg throat hit nic pg based off vaperstek.org, 100 ml of vg, and 200ml of pg to come out to roughly 400ml of 24mg e liquid with 75pg/25vg ratio for nice throat hit(because thats what Im mainly looking for). Now, in order to save money I had the idea of instead making the nic base a pg base, I could make it a vg base and so that I would not have to buy both vg and pg. I would only need to get about 300ml of pg to add into the mix so that it would even out the ratio to 75pg/25vg. Now I know the math is not exact on that, but will that still work? Can I just get a vg nic base and then add pg? Rather than buy pg, vg, and nic? Or does it not work that way and I need to have all 3 components? Thanks

The best advice I can give is to use a juice calculator, like this one : http://ejuice.breaktru.com/ <--download I use I would also advise not making real large amounts of juice because tastes change from smoking over time, and nicotine levels do drop.
If 75 PG / 25 VG is the desired finish @ 25mg nic, then 1 part 100 mg VG nic plus 3 parts PG would give you this 75/25 @25mg . Will it work? Have you ever vaped this mix before? If this mix is too strong you'll have no manner to dilute it or change it if you mix up all the ingredients in one session. The rule of thumb for diy is to mix small at first, test batches before large quantities.

Thanks for the help but I decided to just go through and get the 24 mg unflavored nicotine base like I did before and just continue off that. I'm not as experienced with diy and mixing with 100mg nic just sounds like overboard for me atm so I'll just stick with what I know. My only problem is that I hope the throat hit will be enough. On the 24mg unflavored nic base Im using now it has a 50/50 ratio so maybe if I make it full pg Ill notice a difference. Thanks again for the help too
