DIY is soooo cool

Boy, I've got 4 or 5 juices now that I really like. I have each one on it's own pv, and swap off all day long. My favorite is an RY4 that is really yummy, to my taste anyway. Next is to figure out the difference in cost between the diy and comercially bought, that ought to be interesting.

Couldn't agree more. For every concoction that I've made that I don't care much for, I can just look in my box of ready made samples and find 10.

Care to share your RY4 recipe?

Haven't really tried to calculate the savings either. WAG is around 20% of the cost of pre-made in the long run.

Be happy to share the RY4.
RY4 flavoring is from Good juice, all other flavorings are Flavourart.
This receipe is for 30ml, 12mg strength using 36mg nic base. It is a 70/30 pg/vg mix

100% pg nic base.............. 10ml ..... 33.33%
PG.................................. 7.1ml ... 23.67%
VG.................................. 9ml ...... 30%
RY4................................. 1.5ml ... 5%
Caramel............................ .9ml .... 3%
Chocolate.......................... .9ml ... 3%
Hazelnut............................ .6ml ... 2%

I agree with the DIY. I'm definitely a hobbyist and enjoy tinkering with things; juices included. I am patiently awaiting a hundred bucks worth of flavorings I odered yesterday and have enough supplies to make about 35 x 30ml bottles of 25mg. total cost around $170.00 or say less than $5.00 per 30ml bottle... shipping included. Definitely cost effective, so long as you vape what you make.

I made one that tastes amazingly like these dessert crepes I make.

Anyway, the flavouring was 9 drops Capella irish cream, 5 drops Essence cuban tobacco and 3 drops FA condensed milk to make about 2ml of liquid.

The actual crepe filling is cottage cheese sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar.

Just figured out that my 30ml's of RY4 cost $3.75 to make,not counting shipping to get diy stuff, and the last bottle I bought was $14.25, not counting shipping. I like it!

Apparently. I bought it and tried it before I was aware of the diacetyl issue. At first, after reading their policy/protocol I thought maybe it didn't but I went right to the flavour and it says it does contain it.

I'm waiting on some other 'Sweet Cream' flavouring by perfumers apprentice, and a couple of other creamy flavours, hopefully one of which will adequately replace the 'condensed milk' flavour.

Most creamy/buttery flavors contain diacetyl unless they say they do not. Its a natural compound that is a bi product of fermentation. In beer, it can cause a slick mouth feel, a buttery taste, or a rancid taste, dependent on concentration. Actually, its usually unwelcome in most beer styles and is caused by a warmer then recommended ferment and not letting "green" beer do a diacetyl rest. Its also used to make artificial butter too ...back on subject, but to be safe I would ask if a creamy flavor had it. Before I became an avid vaper, I was (and still am when I find the time and money) an avid home brewer and have seen diacetyl around for years now, but it was in a different light. It was more of a nuisance that could be gotten rid of instead of a health risk.
