A little apprehensive about handling 100mg nic for instance, but if I could produce yummy flavored juice w/ 24mg nic for $0.15/ml for instance, that would be awesome!

Some of the info can be hard to find, and many of us don't mind providing it.

Here's a very good place to get nicotine liquid: Welcome to XtremeVaping.com
The proprietor is SuperTrkrE2812, an ECF member, and his product has been highly recommended by many here on the forum.

In fact, I just now went there and bought some. :D

120 ml of 100mg VG liquid and 250 ml of plain PG, total: $73.50. Mixed together, these would make 370 ml of 32 mg base liquid, cost per ml = $0.20 per ml.

If you were then to make 10 ml of 24mg juice with 15% Lorann flavoring, then you would use:

7.5 ml of nicotine base liquid ($1.50)
1.0 ml of PG ($0.04)
1.5 ml of Lorann ($0.65)

Total cost for 10 ml batch: $2.19

Not 15¢ per ml but 22¢. Low enough for you?

If this amount lasted a person for 3 days, then the cost would be about 73¢ per day. That ain't bad!

Jim,

Start small and see if you like making your own mixes.

You can get a 3 ml sample bottle of 100 mg PG liquid at the place I mentioned for $5, shipping included.

A small bottle of VG is about $4. Look in the lotion aisle at the supermarket or drug store. Make sure it says USP on the label. (be aware that it takes about 24-36 hours for a mix containing VG to assume its true flavor. might not taste too good immediately after mixing)

Lorann flavors can be found in the baking section of many supermarkets. I bought some 2-packs for $1.99.

Get a small syringe for measuring from the drugstore, about a dollar or less.

You probably already have a few empty juice bottles to hold mixes.

This calculator is simple and works well for someone just starting out:

(thanks Tod, wherever you are!)

Just use the syringe to draw up and measure the ingredients and squirt them into the bottle. I recommend a 3ml syringe (might be marked cc instead of ml, same thing), it's handier for use with flavoring.

Thin the VG with distilled water before using it. Use 1 part water to 4 parts VG, mix it well, and it will be about the same thickness as PG or the ready-made smoke juice. You should be able to just draw this up into the syringe.

Tip: put the cheapest ingredients into the bottle first. That way, if you make a mistake or spill the bottle part way through mixing, you don't lose the most expensive part-- the nic juice.

Yes, Xtreme Vaping is a US site.

PM me if you have any more questions.

Tar heel, exactly how does that doubler work?? Your talking about tasty vapor right?

Ive been looking at that too.

Jim

Yup, I was talking about TV but the doubler being 4oz and the 48mg bottles being 1oz is a bit of an issue if you want to vape high-nic and end up not liking the flavor (though that doesn't seem likely given the reviews). Anyway, after the info given I think I'm going DIY next month when I'm close to finished with my current stash. Added some French Vanilla to RY4 today and extra banana to some that i'd ordered and...:) Yummy. Way happy to make flavors as strong as my oh, so sad taste buds need them :p

I'd love to make my own, I just don't think I have the know-how to do it. And since I have 5 children in my home, I don't want to keep liquid nicotine around. =(

ETA: Pardon me, I read wrong. Cutting, I could get down with, lol. Long as I don't have to have big jugs of liquid nic laying around. I'd turn into that old guy from Scooby Doo, .....ing about "those pesky kids".

So do you really need measuring cups, 5 different syringes, pipettes, etc....??
seems like I'll be fine with just a couple empty bottles and a syringe??
No?
Thanks!
Jim

Depends on what and how much your are mixing. Zero nic you could mix with as little as something to help you get it into the smaller bottle. If you are just cutting with straight vg/pg. Again just a simple 5-10ml syringe and youre in buisness.

Want to play with 100mg/ml and cut it?

Need a full kit. Safe work area (well ventilated?), gloves, apron, goggles, well you get the idea. Thought I had everything I needed safety wise, then found out the dripper in the big bottle wasnt easy to measure with, so thinking I'll need a pipette now to safely and accurately measure it since I'm not brave (or crazy) enough to trust my stopper/syringe combo with such potent stuff.

Like everything else PV apparently there is a learning curve as you discover what works best for you and your needs.

Thank you for posting this. I am thinking of jumping into making my own now that I have been vaping for a whole year. It just feels like time. :) I have to laugh that last year I was comparing the savings of vaping to cigs, and now I am looking to cut the cost of vaping, lol. I'm just taking my time about it, because when I make an attempt to save money it normally ends up costing me; frugality can be expensive sometimes.
