I want to make a mechanical box mod out of my broken ipv4 I was wondering what gauge wire is suitable for a parallel 18650vtc4 (60amps). I made a mechanical switch i'm confident will withstand the current but need to know what wire gauge to connect to the 510

16g silicone is the standard. Vendors braid their wires differently (strand sets) to acheive a certain current rating. Some have higher ratings than others. Superworm from ACER is a reputable brand to look towards.

FWIR you are making an UNregulated mod..... A mechanical mod has NO wires or electronics.

As for wire,use the thickest wire you can fit.

There is no electronics switch is fully mechanical in my opinion I consider it to be mechanical as there is no circuitry whatsoever switch I made from a bolt a spring a nut and some copper strips for the conductor

Edit: I forgot about the valve stem grommet for switch insulator

Look for stereo speaker wire.

You can also choose to use stranded silver wire with silver solder.

That's what I used to build my mosfet box. Works great.

As others said, I would go at minimum 16G or even try and go all copper. Its not too hard to find copper "wire" like seen in some of the pictures above and its failure will be far less likely than any wire. Excuse me for forgetting the specific name of all copper wiring!
