DIY Menthol VG liquid - Mushy/Slushy

I've made some 100% VG Menthol juice using menthol concentrate from LTecigs.

But I get this kind of slushy thing going on in my evod, it can be seen clearer in the bottle of juice iv'e made.

I used:

100% 18mg Nic Base
100% VG liquid to make it around 0.8%-0.9mg% Nic.

Then dropped about 3-4% (making 30ml juice) menthol flavouring in which i believe to be PG concentrate.

It's not wicking as I'd want it but when it does it's fine and creates a nice favour and vapour.

I'm not sure if you mean you're seeing menthol crystals coming out of solution. If that's the case, I'd give the juice a warm water bath and give it a really good shake.

Is your Nic also in VG? If it is then your wicking problem is probably your juice is too thick. Try thinning it out with a few drops of either Distilled Water/ Vodka/ or PGA. Good Luck with your DIY!

Yes Nic base is VG as well as adding VG to get the Nic down to what I wanted.

It does actually wick fine.

I did submersed it in some warm water which melted it but then after a night it just went back to the same way.

What does Vodka do? And isn't that vaping alcohol lol!

I have some pure PG too. Maybe ad a dash if it in?

Make your own Menthol Solution



Menthol crystals. Use sparingly as these menthol crystals are very strong. A little goes a long way! You may also make your own menthol drops by placing a few grams of crystals into an alcohol base such as ethanol (vodka).
TIP: To dissolve, fill a container half way with VG or PG, then the other half with menthol crystals. Shake until dissolved. Heating the VG or PG first will speed up the process. Try starting out at 5% in your recipe of that solution that you made.

I make my menthol by filling up a 30ml bottle halfway with crystals and then filling the rest up with Everclear. Then you can take your vg unflavored nic and add your menthol drops to it until you find your menthol flavor strength you will enjoy. I also use this mixture to add a drop to a atomizer of a flavor I want to kick up a notch and add menthol. Wonderful. Good luck to you. Let us know what you find out because this could help others. Yeah Menthol Crystals are Menthol Crystals.


Actually the 50/50 Menthol Crystals to whatever was the one my friend liked best and he bought a lot of Menthols from different Vendors.
