We have a active and very informative DIY sub-forum here. Check out the stickys at the top of the page.

Learn to use a juice recipe calculator. I and a lot of folks use eJuice Me Up.

Read Hoosier's blogs on DIY here. He saved me a lot of time learning the ropes when I first started. Some of this stuff is not obvious at first.

Hope that helps :)

I'd start a little closer to your target nicotine strength like Ryedan suggested- 48 mg, even 24. Not such a large dilution when just starting out, particularly when you're testing flavors.

Once you're a pro- (doesn't take long!) order the 100 ml. You can always keep the unmixed base in the freezer.

I've always bought mine from Nude Nicotine, and I've yet to be disappointed. I make my juice 100 ml at a time, which makes it easy to calculate percentages. I'm going to vape it all anyway, so why not make big batches? I use 100 ml Erlenmeyer flasks and a 50 ml graduated cylinder from RTS for that. I get my PG from them too.

Ok guys I have done up some math tell me if it seems legit. 1 Gallon( 3,785 ml) of VG and 60 ml of 4.8 mg nic will make me over 100 bottles of juice that's sweet I know I can freeze the vg/ nic base should I also freeze the plain vg? It will take close to a year to go through this quantity. I was thinking I could buy the flavors more when I need them so they don't go bad. Does anyone see any flaws with my madness

I think what you mean is adding together 3785 ml of VG plus 60 ml of 48 mg/ml nic base, correct?

That is going to make 3845 ml of 0.76 mg/ml nic base. How many bottles it makes depends on the size of your bottles. I have 20 ml, a lot of 50 ml, 100 ml, 200 ml and a couple of 500 ml bottles.

If you are going to use it in a year you can store everything at room temperature, out of sunlight. Flavorings also last for at least a year. PG lasts for four years. If you put PG, VG, or nic base in the freezer it probably lasts at least a decade. Don't freeze flavorings, not all of them handle it well.

I would throw in some large gauge needles for the syringes. Also, if money isn't too much of a problem, get some other flavorings that sound interesting to you as I have found that once you get started, you are going to want to experiment more and more. There is always time later to add more flavors, but, having done this for the last couple of years I find that the more you do it, the more you will experiment with new tastes. Don't mix up a lot of one flavor at first, your tastes will change over time and staying with one flavor for too long I've found that over time, you lose the ability to taste that one flavor if continuously vaped. I like to switch flavors every few days, if only for one tank or two then go back to my all day vape.

A word of warning on DIY juice. This can be every bit as addictive as the vaping itself. You will find that you are buying more and more DIY goodies as you go. Before long your friends will start calling you a mad scientist locked away in your secret lab. Oh, and they'll be the ones wanting to "test" your latest juices.
