Just wondering if anybody's made a PCC? I keep seeing how much space is wasted in a lot of the ones out there with batteries that are way bigger than they need to be to accomplish the output. The PCC that came with my Volcano uses a batt the size of the one in my cell phone, but my camera batts have the same performance at half the size, so I got to thinking, one could theoretically have twice the life or a lot more storage space using a smaller battery. Anybody figured out how to build one of these beasts?

Your camera batt must be overrated. Li-Poly has now the best capacity vs. size and all PCC use them (AFAIK).

Keep in mind that around 20% of the capacity is lost when charging due to stepping up the voltage and regulating it to charge the ecig batts. This means that a 1000mA batt will charge 4pcs. 180mA ecig batts or less than 3pcs. 280mA ecig batts.
1000-1300mA is the most that can fit a normal size PCC...

If you are ok with bigger PCC's then you could use some bigger bats to start with.

I have been considering building one, albeit a fairly large one, with my Kensington Power Pack, a usb charger, and some spare sheet metal and padding I have laying around. The basic idea was to build a PCC that would charge a 510 mega-batt and hold 2 - 3 spare mega batts. The idea is fairly simple, and was meant to make all parts easily replaceable. However, I have since abandoned it for the idea of building a big batt mod. I may still build it one day to have something interesting to carry some mega-batts around in, but for now the big batt mod will be much more effective (and economically efficient)
