thanks! stored in plastic is ok? is it hard to work with right out of the freezer? what about the base and flavorings?

> i feel there should be a sticky for this <

Plastic is OK but glass containers are best and unlike water that expands when freezing pg/vg/nic shrink when freezing so theres no danger of breaking jars. You will need to let the liquid defrost because the liquid thickens when frozen expecially the VG. I will take mine out of the freezer a half hour before I use it and sit it in a hot pot of water. I usually leave enough out of the freezer for a months supply of mixing solution. Do not put the flavoring in the freezer because the flavor molicules that make up the flavor do not take well to freezing but the PG, VG and NIC is ok to freeze.

A friend of mine has a Small Tribe of Rug Rats who are Constantly getting into things.

She bought on of these to keep her Nicotine Base, Syringes and DIY Supplies in.

Yeah that's a good idea.. even a small locker of some sort with a padlock.. maybe a lockable cabinet?

Sure. Staples probably has a Locking File Cabinet for about the same Price. It would be Bigger also.

Any locking cabinet will do. Always better to be safe then sorry.

I like your Thinking.

I've got two small girls, and a walk in closet....This may seem a bit "over the top", but the shelving on one end of it, ended up making the perfect "lab"..All liquids (nics, base, flavorings) are up on higher shelves..(either existing or custom built)..So in a nutshell...

* Outta site, outta mind
* Should they get in, everything's too high up to reach
* Darkness (supposed to be good for all liquids, of course when I'm not mixing and the light's on lol)

But for your original question, storage alone..Especially with a 1 year old...I would make sure everything you have or get, has childproof caps..just in case..I've read numerous posts about keeping your nic in the fridge, freezer or not..and haven't found any that swayed me either way...GOOD LUCK!!!

thank you for all the responses!
i moved the nic, vg and pg into the fridge.
everything else is in a cabinet with a childproof lock on it, with most of the equip in a tackle box, the rest in two cardboard boxes. i need to upgrade my storage system to accommodate to ever growing amount of supplies and liquid.

The Plain VG and PG does not really need to go in the fridge.

NIC Base for long term storage is best put in Amber Poly Cap bottles, then sealed in Food Saver bags and stored in the freezer.
I would store VG and PG in the freezer myself rather than the fridge. They will all keep longer that way.

Flavorings and Flavored juice should never be stored in the fridge or freezer.
