DIY VG ONLY E-juice QUESTIONS (PG gives me heartburn so I can't consider it.)

Viscosity, Liquidity, Thinning:

Obviously, VG is too thick to run in a tank or drip and must be thinned. Given that I can't use PG and my flavorings contain ethyl alcohol, I'd like to use distilled water.

Should I mix DW with VG BEFORE I mix it with my flavorings or add it AFTER I mix the VG and flavorings?

What percentage of DW with VG is best for tanks if mixed BEFORE adding flavorings? AFTER?

How much consideration should I lend to thinning VG if the flavorings are mostly ethyl alcohol?

Flavorings:

I will be using Natures Flavors flavoring for coffee beans. They are pretty liquid with the amount of ethyl alcohol in them. Natures Flavors will not disclose the percntage of ethyl alcohol to VG in their flavorings but it appears to be high, if not mostly ethyl alcohol given the liquidity.

I'M considering using a 25-30% flavor mix since VG tends to mask the flavor vs. a 10-20% mix many use with PG. Is this too much IYHO?

Sweetner:

Has anyone used Natures Flavors Brown Sugar as a sweetener and compared it to Ethyl Maltol?

I usually thin VG 20% - my current all-day vape is 12% PG-based flavoring so I add 8% DW; wicks fine in carto tanks, Stardust v2 and Kanger T3 clearos.

IMO VG doesn't mask flavors as much as a lot of people think it does - I'd start at the same ratio you'd use for PG and work up; you can add flavoring easily but removing them after they're added is a little more difficult ;)

If your brown sugar flavoring has any sugar in it at all it'll probably foul an atomizer in pretty short order - might be best to find out what's in the flavoring.

Hope this helps -
