Excellent point Skydragon.

I vape at 6mg ... and have never purchased my nicotine over 25mg. I get around "35" 30ml bottles of juices from 250ml's of nicotine, and I'm satisfied with that. I'd rather not worry about handling the "high nic levels", etc. ... and I still make plenty of juice from the nicotine I purchase.

I agree that newbies should definitely start with lower nic ... and some, like me - may "stay" there and be happy.

I am just starting and what I figure is less is better than more with flavorings. I guess I would rather start with less flavoring let it steep at least a few days take a wiff and add more, then steep more. I use freezer tape on the glass bottles with ingredients listed. I like Dawn's idea of separate bottles for whole flavor's and then they can be mixed and matched at whim.

another good tip:

keep all juice supplies in a secure and safe place. with a little 1 year old running around, all my supplies are in a locked tackle box in a locked cabinet. my nic is in the back of the fridge, but should be locked up as well.
And other reader's of this post don't forget to keep them away from pets too. I always make sure I wash my hands very well even after I fill a tank with juice so I do not mistakenly pet my cat and it could get on her fur.

I remember when I was first going to buy nic. Everyone was saying get the 100 nic. I think it was tmcase who said I should probably get a lower nic to start with. I am glad I listened to her. Frankly it is nerve racking enough the first time transferring. I was happy I did not have the 100 nic.

I still haven't used it because I still don't have everything I need but it is there waiting. lol

That being said, to those who are thinking of buying nic..............don't think it isn't still dangerous if it is at a lower nic. level. It is still a poison you have to respect. But for you (not a child nor pet) getting say 24 mg on you is a huge difference than getting 100 mg on yourself.

Start low......build yourself up if you choose to. You may find you don't want the higher nic. levels and if you buy it, you are stuck with it.

Read all the stickies in the DIY section, then read the threads before you start. Make a list of what you will need before you start ordering supplies. It is hard to figure out exactly what you need to start, easy to over buy and not get a couple important items.

I have not started DIY yet, but I am reading and make my list of necessities.

Whenever I'm going to mix juice, I decide ahead of time what I'm making - pull out all the flavors for one juice and make it. Recap everything as it's used. Then I pull the flavors for the next juice - recap everything when it's used. Less chance to spill.
And usually, I make a couple juices I know I like, plus one "experiment".

My tip is to use as exact measurements as possible in the smallest fractional amounts possible. When I am testing a new flavor I make 1ml. of the juice to test, I vape all of it and take notes while vaping. This gives me information on the direction I may want to take and what to add to it to get the desired effect from the juice.
