Why did anyone have to say anything about "that" being back in stock. I really wanted to think about it but, again, won't have any time and will likely make a rash decision.

I emailed Opus about the battery and they said if it died out of warranty that I would have to send it to them and have it replaced for 35 dollars. I can always use my ipv4 when this device is charging. My big issue though is that this costs 229. I was under the assumption that if the Cloudmaker dna is 200 dollars (and it seems like you can use a separate LiPo if needed) and that the Vaporshark is going to likely be at the price point as well, that the Opus should be as well. That is my one hang up considering the Vaporshark is going to be smaller and, subjectively, likely a more aesthetically pleasing mod. Any thoughts on this? Would I potentially be paying 29 dollars more because I cannot be patient (assuming the VS200 is 200$).

Dwcraig1: Could you please post more pictures? Or if my request is inappropriate for the thread for some reason (new here), can I PM you about that?
Think of the $29 as a surcharge for getting a DNA200 device early. I would compare this more with the Cloudmaker than the VS. It's also big and ugly (so's the IPV4 :p ). If you can wait, I think the VS will be well worth it.

Don't worry about asking for pics, there have been more inappropriate requests than that :p.

Wait and decide in a week...
He won't have to decide in a day. They'll be sold out again

Thinking about it... We could grab a plane (30 bucks or so on Ryanair) and go to the UK and meet Tom for some lunch and cool off from the Portuguese heat [emoji14]

Regards
Tony

Sent from my keyboard through my phone or something like that.

So, I have this one on the way. I justified it by the fact it is an Ohio product and I live an hour and a half away from Ashtabula. Glad to see in the Mike Vapes video it is around the size of the Vapor Flask. How is firing it, comfy or not?

I have to second the question about the fire button. Is it clicky / comfortable? How would you describe it

I'm on a roll now, well almost, coffee is still brewing.
Take a look at this photo gallery, a VS isn't going to be much if any smaller than the Opus unless they put in a smaller battery which would be doubtful.

Clicky (light), small and actually on the wrong side (for my preference). It seems to be made to have the screen facing user and fired with thumb. I turn it around with screen facing away and use my index finger to fire it, not really a problem though.

I still love my VS's (rDNA and DNA). Their prices have come down a lot ($130 and $100 respectively) and they currently have their annual 15% off sharkweek sale (code: sharkweek) so $110 and $85. If the DNA200 wasn't announced, I would've bought another rDNA.
Same here.
You could actually grab a no-warranty DNA40 for $68 inkl. shipping.
Damn I was tempted.

But I'll go for a DNA200.... among others.

I originally planned on getting one from Cloud Maker and I realized that the one that I was looking at was Evolv's sample.
So I then looked at the ones that they did make and was still interested till I learned that they aren't soldered together.
Not sure how that works but I'm not interested in getting one like that. I can solder.

Maybe in a while Littup will come with a NES controler DNA200.
I'd definetly go for that.
Know your roots you know
I seriously doubt it. There's no room for a 3S battery unless you go with a 450mah one and then, what's the point? 3 puffs and you'll need to recharge

I'm really trying to restrain myself from buying anything right now. I had an Opus in my cart 3 times and the VS DNA40 ($76 with skin) just a couple of hrs ago.

Thanks for destroying my dream. Then I have do build a mod myself with a Gameboy Pocket. [emoji14]

But I know what you mean. I don't want to buy anything right now. It's so haaaaard.

I'm in the same boat. Pre ordered the cloudmaker but want 200 goodness now. Instead, I scratched the shiny itch by ordering a GS2. lol.

Tempting, but I'm going to pass. I try not to spend over 400 a month on vaping. I'm at around 600 already. lol. 10 days in.
Yeah, I try to limit myself too, I'm not always very successful tho [emoji14]

I haven't got around to building the GS2 today...yet...but Sedge built his last night and its working wonderfully, I have a feeling we're both going to enjoy that one very much ;)

Two more questions for you dwcraig: (Sorry!!)

I know a picture is worth a thousand words, but how much bigger would you say the Opus is than the rdna40 (I know, probably a stupid question considering the picture), but hopefully you get what I'm saying.

Also, how is the quality of the Opus in person and does it look better in person than the pictures? Really tempted to pull the trigger, but wanted to ask a million questions first, lol

It's considerably larger than a rDNA but is not all that big. Keep in mind that the DNA 200 board is 2.5 inches long so box mods that have one will be a bit taller than a DNA 40 mod.
I like it.
I'm curious though about the nickel finished one, it may hold up better then again maybe not.

This here is just my take on things, if you are using an atty @ 20 - 30 watts then a DNA 40 is going to perform remarkably the same as a DNA 200. But say your using big wire dual coils in a dripper running as 60 watts with plenty of overhead left for pre-heat then the 200 is the way to go.
The advertised low it fires is 0.08Ω but that's as low as it can fire and still output 200 watts.
My interest lies in building much lower than 0.08 but still have say 100 watts available for pre-heat.
With my TGT II tanks, they vape pretty much the same @ 28 watts whether on a DNA40 or DNA200.

Does the black Opus have a rubberized finish then? I had the Nickel in the cart, gave up and then found today those are out and just got the Black. I have my Ti csv already loaded into eScribe, lol.
