Just set the battery type in Escribe and you're good.
Well yeah but is this really going to solve the fact that a lifepo4 only has 0.9volts over the minimum 9 volts. Wouldn't battery sag pretty quickly kill it from powering the board unlike a lipo that has 1.2 volts over the minimum 9 volts.

Unless the voltage drop on a lifepo4 is alot less than a lipo.

To the others who suggested it, yes, I would buy a 3.7 V (aka - 18650) DNA 40 version of this chip. I expect it would sell quite well, probably better than this chip will.

I respect that. Personally? No. The 100w to 200w pre-heat and the battery life from a contemporary battery system is fantastic. The price for watt hour to weight ratio is amazing. The RC industry has handed us a mature and great technology on a platter. The only thing you would get with a DNA40 with DNA200 firmware is the tweaks and eye candy...what makes the vape is the ramp curve, the pre-heat punch configuration. Yes I agree that I would rather have a 40 with the features than without, but in all reality I would rather have a lipo and the 200.

I like the new "New Coil?" screen. It shows the new and old resistance.

I had to reorder my XT30 connectors from hobbyking. They were out of black 14g wire which held up my order and rather than cancelling the item, I had to cancel the whole order and place a new order. It worked out for me because I added a few 260mah lipos for 2 rc heli's I ordered. I ordered a 3rd rc heli and I haven't received the first 2. This doesn't bode well for my bank account.

I got an email questioning my mailing address . That's a new one. Hopefully, it'll ship tomorrow.

I remember when I could buy new RC toys left and right...wife and kids eat up the cash now along with three cars, insurance on a teenage driver and payoff for the starter wife. Enjoy it while you can!

That's why my wife and I have chosen hobbies over getting children :)

Heh. Same here. I remember when I had a fleet of 90 sized helis, a fleet of competition gliders and when I passed by a hobby shop and saw a T-14MZ on display, I didn't even look at the price.. "I want it now, hand it over"

That was before two kids in college, a couple of mortgages and the Portuguese economic crisis

I stopped smoking though :)

Well, all 3 heli's and accessories I got for them cost under $100 :thumb:. I got the Syma S107G, S109G and a WL V911 Pro. I had some Amazon credit so it was even less out of pocket.

 @ starter wife
