pretty sure that the dna 200 board still rules over the daughter board in how long it charges.

It's also quite possible that maybe escribe can automatically know when a daughter board is installed?
I'm ASSuming the 2a charger is in parallel with the board and separate so it would bypass the DNA200 board's charge settings.

Does the VS dna 200 have wireless charging also?
I heard it doesn't have wireless charging. I thought it was a great idea but it heated up my rDNA too much so I just plug it in or replace the battery. USB charging is 800ma on my old rDNA but fast enough for me. My DNA40 has zip charging (1.8a actual) and that gets warm while charging. I would've been happy with 1a charging. I did get Evolv's 1a charging board for some of my home built DNA40's and replaced one so far (Mini Hana clone). It's nice to fully charge in a couple of hrs rather than 5.

I think cost wise it would have been about the same for Evolv to implement 2a charging and they didn't so ....
2a charging is on the upper limits and can drastically shorten a battery's life (liIon or lipo). I'm happy with 1a. I get a bit nervous with my DNA40's 2a zip charging.

I love the rDNA zip charging. It's silly fast, and with 18650 I don't care if the lifetime is a bit shorter.

If the DNA200 Shark can do anything similar I'll be pleased, provided they sell replacement batteries of course. My order is in anyway, Vaporshark has a great track record with me.

For a 3S LiPo, remember that it is 11.1V nominal. 2A on USB's 5V is 10W. So that's 10W/11.1V=0.9A.
With a 900 mAh (10 Wh) battery, that's exactly 1C. This is a perk of multiple cells. :)

Your laptop only puts out 500ma (.5a) while a 2a source will give you a full 1a on the DNA200 board so it makes sense that it's twice as fast.

That's my point. The vaporshark ad never said it had 2 amp charging.

edit: I guess we know the rdna has more than 1A and they called it Zip charging, so it is definitely possible they did the same with the 200

From VS' website:
Our long awaited DNA 200 is everything you've been looking for in a mod. Sleek, pocket friendly, powerful and completely customizable. Unlike the DNA and rDNA, the DNA 200 is made out of 6031 aluminum, making it lighter than it's predecessors. The finish starts with a black anodization process, followed by black paint and then a light rubberized coating completes the process. Truly our most durable finish to date. Zip Charging is on board to make sure charging is done in a flash when plugged in to a 2A power source. No one likes waiting for their batteries to charge. One of the best features of the DNA 200 is Escribe. Escribe is a controlling interface software capable of over 93 customizable options. What this means to you is you can finally dial in your perfect vape. There are 8 customizable profiles that allow you to save your settings for a variety of builds ranging from your standard coils to most complex. Lastly, your DNA 200 will always be up to date with USB upgradeable firmware. You asked, we listened, this is the last mod you'll ever need.

It doesn't say exactly that it has 2a charging but it implies it. I wonder what the truth is. I hate when manufacturers are vague.

That would be the way I read it - Zip Charging is on board appears to indicate they have it implemented.

3 days short of a month having the opus in hand and counter is at 10511, must be why i moan so much about 1000 mah lipos.
Used my Sx and dna40 alot to while charging, seems im a bit out of the norm so 1000 mah realy might be ok for most.
Didnt expect to vape that much more then others tbh as i still have the occasional cig to more then once a day.

average length, if that is "mean"? : 1.72 , total 18219.40 atm.
stricktly tank user, no drippers on the 200.

What's your guys average puff length? Received the Opus on 7/3 and I'm at 11859, and that's after still using a Boxer 1/2 of the day, at least up until the last couple of weeks. They're short puffs though; my average is only 2.54 sec's. I work from home which causes allows me to go through way too much juice (~20-22ml/day). The last couple of weeks I've only been using the Boxer while the Opus charges.

I just hope vaporshark doesn't have anymore of those issues of the usb port shorting and draining the lipo till it's dead.
