Well, I did some digging and I found 4 in the sub $150 budget.

Think Vape Box 133
Price:$115(with code MAP on fasttech)
Dimensions: 95*60*25
Battery: Dual 18650

Think Vape Panzer
Price:$119
Dimensions: 92*55*30
Battery: 3s LiPo 1500mAh

HCigar VT133
Price: $123(silver) $150(black)
Dimensions: 93*57*25
Battery: Dual 18650

HCigar VT200
Price: $134
Dimensions: 96*53.5*25
Battery: 3s LiPo 1300mAh

Are there any I may be missing. Leaning towards the first three right now.

I like VT133 but I wish the black version was available more places and at a similar price as the silver version. I only found the black one place and it was an extra $27! I could just get an all black jwrap for less than that. Only negative I'm seeing about it is the battery door which isn't that big of a deal to me unless it tends to get really loose after a while.

The Think Vape Box133 seems alright except for all that horrible writing on the side. I guess I need to decide just how much I would be bothered by it carrying it every day. Can't find anywhere that sells wraps for it so I'd be stuck with it.

The Think Vape Panzer doesn't seem that bad. My batteries are all 2500mAh so losing ~500 mAh doesn't seem like it would be that big of an issue especially considering I would mostly be using it at home. I just wonder about how it feels in the hand. The way it is shaped seems like it would be awkward. Pretty sure I can but these wouldn't be any issue vaping while charging or charging in a car if I need to would there?

Anyone care to weigh in on any of these? I'm also open to any other comments or suggestions. Having a hard time deciding what to do. Even at only $150 its about as much as I've spent on all the previous mods I've purchased combined and it has taken me a long time to save up for one so I'd like something that will last a good while. Maybe I'm asking too much for a DNA200 mod in that price range.

I got the Hcigar Vt200....and was very unhappy with it. Poor build quality, and even strange issues with the chip, that I think are related to poor build quality, like battery pack goes out of balance quickly, and my gut says it is from poor soldering. I bought one....and the board stopped working in the first week....screan gave the return for warranty service message, got it swapped out, and the second one is the one that can't keep a battery in balance. I was PIF'd a vaporshark DNA200......night and day experience...the VS is flawless.

Yeah, its pretty much a noncontender for quite a few reasons but figure I would add it to the list since it did fall into the right price range. Its pretty much between the other three unless something else pops up first.

I just got the Panzer & it's boxy for sure. It's not that it's too tall or wide, it's more that it's very thick. Even still though it feels good in the hand. The battery life is excellent & I'm very pleased with it for the few days that I've owned it. I've been taking it to work with me this week & it fit's in the cup holder of my Ram. I've been charging it & vaping it with no issue's while on the road all day.

My experience has been totally opposite to yours with the Hcigar VT200. They have been absolutely flawless...In fact the only DNA200 mods that I have had absolutely no problem with. It's my favorite DNA 200 mod by far.

My experiences with DNA200:

BRD200 - Printed mod. Screen ribbon pinched by me. Replaced and no issues. My first DNA200 mod. Works great but really bulky with a 1300mah lipo. Served me well during my times of lust for a DNA200 but I'm thinking of getting a Silo case to put the board into.

Hana v200 - Screen ribbon pinched causing screen to fail. Hana didn't even offer to replace the part. Evolv stepped up and offered to fix it if I send it in or ship out a new screen. I had them send me a new screen and installed it myself. Flawless since. I really like the size but it's basically a ripoff of the reference mod. The edges are rounded rather than beveled so not as comfortable to hold.

VaporShark DNA200 - Fire button lost clicky-ness and started locking while firing. VS e-mailed a return shipping label. Took less than a week turnaround and is now working great. I finally got a sharkskin and it's a bit more bulky but also more comfortable to hold. My favorite DNA200 mod. It's a close 2nd to my overall favorite mod, the rDNA40.

2x ERM+ DNA200 - Custom built. No issues at all. An oversized version of the reference mod with a 1300mah lipo. Great, solid mod but a bit on the large side. It hasn't been a problem since it's cold out and I'm wearing a jacket with big pockets but I can see the size being an issue when the weather warms up.

DW for the win.

You are not getting better battery life. Possible longer run time. The sx350j in the Boxer will not let you fire when the sag pulls tge voltage under limit. For example, when my Boxer is set to fire at 50J, when I start getting the check battery screen, I can drop to 40J and extend the run time on the charge cycle. If you watch your battery meter, you can see the voltage drop on firing. The Boxer will continue firing as long as the process doesn't pull the battery level too low.

hi bro,

same issue as you, i have been getting check battery error when i am at 50watts. just charged finish the batteries and still getting the errors.

4.24v next to the battery
8.07v below the battery
005334.6J

anything above 50watts is just 'check battery'

what is wrong?

You are using KFV4 for all your DNA200 mods, what is your setup in your KFV4?

I thought KFV4 does not handle TC and high wattage, no?

I'm using Ni200, 7 wraps, 3mm ID for about .10Ω. I had to try a few things to stabilize the resistance. I pinched one end of the spring so it sits between the center pin and afc but ended up putting the spring back to the way it was and crimping the afc screw upside down and sticking out about .5mm above the threads. They're all Tobeco clones.

Well my Think Vape Box 133 arrived a day early. First impressions:

It is a box. But hey they make it no secret, it's what they call it after all. Extremely utilitarian to me but that is what I was after. I am a technician and am on the road from place to place all day. I get uneasy when any mod I am using drops to around 1/2 on the battery meter. I wanted this for an all day device where I can swap in a fresh set of 18650s if I have to. Just got it today so I will report on battery life later. My gut feeling says one pair of LG browns will last the day.

Build quality and fit and finish are excellent. It looks like the pictures I saw online. The components used appear to be high quality. The chassis is a zinc alloy I believe, it is not heavy by any means. Not billet aluminum but it was a nice price so I certainly did not expect that.

One of my pet peeves is 510 connectors. This one looks to be a good one. It is SS including the spring loaded center pin, the spring is nice and strong. The resistances read by this mod are the same readings I get on my VT200. The chassis is two compartments or sides; one for the (nice) battery sled and the other much smaller of course has the board. I like the design. I would have to disassemble the board side to see the underside of the 510. It looks easy, all the screws on this mod are in the right places. I'm just not ready to do the DJLsb Vapes on it yet, heck I just got it.

I was very pleasantly surprised to see Think Vape had the Battery Watt Hours/2 cells, Mod Resistance and Thermal properties set from the factory. I will likely run those on my own at my convenience but it was cool to be able to fire it up for the first time with those values filled in. I did have to upgrade to the latest firmware but that was 30 seconds and done. Entered my user preferences, loaded my DJLsb Vapes profiles and I was vaping. And yes, Daniel is one of my heros...

It performs like a DNA200. It is highly probable that this is because it IS a DNA200 lol. Been groovin' on a dual T1 01 at .12 ohms for about 2 hours and lovin' it. Time will tell on some things but I know I have a great board. If you don't mind a mod that feels somewhere between a Bridge and Poker size deck of cards in your hand this one could be for you.

BTW I got the silver one since I also think the engraved logos are hideous. They REALLY stand out on the black one but are pretty subtle on the silver.

Thank you for the KISS impression.

Can you upload some pictures of your silver K1@kA$$ box mod?

Yes, kudos to Daniel of DJLsB Vapes for all the DNA200 online references.

Every time when I setting up my DNA200 mod I would hummed to this tune "Last night a DJ save my life....":lol::lol:

love the collection. Quick Q on the Vaporshark DNA200, how do you find the battery life? What setup do you have running with the VS and around what temp or wattage are you vaping with VS DNA200 to achieve your current battery life?

much appreciated.

My printed box is still going strong...used by the wife all day every day. I am going to put an evolv 510 in it though.

You can also put it on Red to give it a two tone look.

Does 1300 make a big difference you think? 50% longer usage?
Probably pretty close. The original Lipo is 900mah. Half of that (50%) would be 450, this is 400 more, so I would say pretty close to 50% (~45%).

Cheers,
Steve
