You should look at the screen to get a better idea of what it is doing. When I first got the Wismec DNA200. I noticed once it actually went over the temp I set it at. like I set it at 450 degrees and it showed something like 700 degrees. I know it does not sound possible and really I can't be sure if it was not just my imagination.

Or check it out on the device monitor. That might be a better option.

I thought about checking it on the device monitor, but then i will not be able to replicate the same situation, as the mod will never go into deep sleep with the screen always on and the mod charging. But i might try anyways.

Yep, I have 2 LiPo ones and a 3x18650 and would pic either of the LiPos ones over the Reuleuax, the Reuleaux is OK for the desk or bedside table but not pocketable or my go to mod.
You must have a different Reuleaux than the four I have. As mine are smaller than a pack of smokes. I saved my last pack of Kools I bought a number of years ago. See for yourself. Fits in the same pockets too.

Maybe by "pocketable" the OP meant WEIGHT. Not sure but one of those two pictured may be a bit heavier, certainly in a shirt pocket! :)

Love my Reuleaux for desk use! Never have to worry about it tipping over, which was a major concern of mines with any other mod.

If you were using the Reaulx (or however you spell it) that plastic ring they put on to prevent a reverse battery condition is just not the smartest invention I have ever seen plus it is renowned for tearing battery wraps. :2c:
Well here is the wrong way to pull the batteries out. And thanks to Phil for demonstrating to us the wrong way.

The right way to pull them out is to pull the negative side out first and then the positive side just falls away from the rings without tearing the wrap.

I just pull the batteries out negative first and never had a problem with the batteries getting torn.

I stop watching Phil after he made a high fuss about not being able to fill the lemo 2 with a glass dripper.

Like, come on!

Hahaha! You should see him try to screw a simple battery cap on. He puts it on crooked every time and wonders why it won't screw on.

How can it go into temp limiting mode mid puff if it's originally firing the whole puff in wattage mode?
In the hardware there is only one mode, with a new coil it waits to see that the coil raises temp by 150 F before turning on temp limiting & therefore preheat.

No, same big rolo, there is a ERM/Silo 900 mAh LiPo next to it here.

I tried looking at the screen while firing the mod from a long sleep, but with the splash screens taking around 3-4 seconds to display i couldn't see what's going on.
Why would the mod act like it's a new coil when it's the same tank with the same coils that's been sitting on top for the whole time?

The shortest time EScribe would allow me for showing the Welcome screen was a quarter of a second. Would that help?

You can tell by if the preheat is active on the first puff.

I don't know how people put up with 11.1v @ 900mah (9.99Wh) mods? I would have to be tethered to an USB supply all of the time. After doing some calculations, I would need three of them to go portable. Worse they require constant plugging and unplugging to the USB jack. Those things are too fragile for constant use and will likely fail before the lipo does. Now how are you going to charge the lipo? By buying another mod?

So even with my preheat turned all the way down to 1 W, preheat time limit set to 0, the mod would still fire my coil at high wattage until temp limiting kicks in?
I have unlocked my resistance, should i be locking it?

Mine doesn't. But if you have the wattage set too high it will act the same way as preheat. That is how people do the same as preheat with other non-Evolv mods.

I converted one of mine to a 2 cell Reuleaux 133w. It is so simple and it is 46 grams lighter.

Good that you are pleased with your setup.... lipos work well for me and USB charging a dna200 daily for almost 10 months now has not failed .... almost time to change the lipo out... I've used lipo's for years now and never had a usb charge port to fail (yet?)...

the reuleaux is an exercise in good design imo. if jay-bo really exists he must be a design engineer. or someone there is. sure, it is not as small as my hana's. however the rounded triangle shape makes maximum usage of the space that is needed. ingenious indeed. considering it houses no less than three 18650's it is in fact quite small. fits in my jeans pocket but i wear baggies. still, it is by no means large considering the number of and type of batteries it houses. it is a great device overall too. lasts plenty long on 3000mah batteries. of course can hit 200 watts. the paint is solid. i got one tiny chip dropping it from my hand standing onto my concrete driveway. otherwise it is still flawless. not sure how long i have had it but a while. i said "it", that is a bit misleading because now i have three of them. i know a guy that is going to be making complete replacement cases out of stab wood and he said his target price is $150. i will let you guys know when he hits production but i am sure there will be a long waiting list. as it is one guy with one router. with that though you then have a seriously nice custom mod.

900mah is fine with me because i have about 30(not a typo) dna 200 devices so i just pick up another. i have all the way from 900 mah to the reuleaux . i think 1350mah is great though for most people. i do not remove batteries anymore so i think lipo's are fine now. before i did not feel this way. my rc charger can charge anything but i just charge them via usb now. i have a high end charger that can force 2amps to 1amp devices. if you want a link i can provide it but it is a very expensive usb charger. to me worth it. also, high end usb cables will not cause the jacks to fail but cheap ones certainly will. i am talking $50 usb cables. gotta pay to play!

i had a question though. can i put ss tcr on any ss? or does it have to be some special ss wire?
