I'm really sorry if this has been asked before, I tried looking but I couldn't find the info. I just got my VT133 today, and I'm pretty confused about it. Is there some sort of guide somewhere that explains in detail how to swap modes and everything else you need to do on the mod itself? I'm getting the hang of EScribe, but I'm not sure if I've actually swapped out to power mode. I think it came in Ni200 mode, did the whole thing of turning the temp up until it said off after I'd swapped it to SS316 which is what I'm using, just wanted to use power mode for right now. Was that how it's done? Swapping to power mode I mean.

I know this must have been asked before, and I'm just sucking at finding it. So if anyone could point me to where the more in depth guides are, I'd really appreciate it. I looked at the Tips for setting up a dna200 mod and it was helpful but can't find more info about changing from TC to power mode and vice versa. I've only been using a sigelei 150w, and an IPVD2 for a bit before it died on me, so no knowledge at all here about a DNA200. Well, besides a bit of reading as I waited for my order.

Edit: Thanks to Wingsfan0310's info on the mod, I did set up the resistances and battery information. Just having trouble with swapping modes really. I think I can figure out the other stuff like locking resistance and all, just gotta re-read the manual and some other pages I got open. Also, is there really no way to turn it off? Just lock it?

Thanks in advance!

That will disable TC. You can also go into Escribe and set up one of your profiles for power mode by unchecking the temperature box in that profile in Escribe. If you want to add a custom screen, here's one. Just download it to your PC then click load next to the blank custom screen under the 8 profile tabs.

If you need any help in loading the screen, feel free to shoot me a PM.

Edit The screen shot is in the post underneath

it is just odd someone would have like 30 $800 soldering stations and not know how to use them. you would think people with that investment would have trained techs. I guess not sadly. I just mean usually when someone has expensive specialized tools it is usually because they are tradesman. it is not like owning a hammer lol. I guess it just all went wrong for them. the local man had one and he was like a surgeon with it. however he is a real electronic engineer with a phd. very humble and did not tell me. I found out elsewhere. I suppose anyone with the money can buy equipment. knowing how to use it is a different story I suppose. he showed me the + and _ where literally touching each other and blew the fuse. gee whiz.

Here's the DNA200 data sheet, not sure how updated it is, but I recently had to look at it as I forgot how to adjust wattage, as I have mine setup for direct temperature adjusting, and the info was accurate.

http://www.evolvapor.com/datasheet/dna200.pdf

The Evolv user forum is also ok for some issue, they should post all the settings in one place and keep it updated.

To swap between "profiles" assuming you've already set everything up in escribe

Hold + & - button for 5 secs (screen will same something like power locked). Once its locked either double click + OR - and you can toggle through your profiles.

Yeah they want $7.99 for the Hotcig stock balance charger which is supposed to be better than the original HotFire ones that used to come with the DX200 (that name still makes me chuckle). Personally, I'll use the Sky RC Hobby charger if I feel the need to charge the battery separate from the mod. Mostly just use the on board usb charger to charge one pack at a time one after the other.

I'm about to order a spare battery for my Vaporshark DNA200. The one both Evolv and Vaporshark sells is the 900mah FULLYMAX brand at $20. I was wondering if any owners of this specific mod have found any higher capacity batteries that would fit in such a tiny space and of course have the proper wiring for a simple swap?

Or am I just better off getting a duplicate of the original battery?

THANKS!

Think Turnigy has an advertised 950mah at Hobby King that supposedly fits but is it really worth the risk to save $4 and get a battery that says it has 50 more mah that in reality may not?

I have 7 of those 950mah 3s NanoTech batteries that I use for a mini quad. I used one of them for my Silo mod I built last week (basically an Evolv reference mod). They're good batteries but they don't come with the right connectors. If you're ok with soldering new connectors, it'll work fine. Just don't think you're going to get more runtime with the extra 150mah (50mah x3 in a 3s pack). They're all lithium polymer batteries and you can't pack more energy into the same size (+/- 5%).

Last I checked, Hobbyking was out of stock on those batteries in all 3 warehouses.

*edit*
If you want plug'n'play, you need to order the VS one. The Evolv battery only has the balance connector and bare wires for the power.

Wow, you saved me some trouble, I almost assumed that the Evolv version would be good to go. I'll get one from VS, if they ever bother to stock them again. THANKS!

due to a jerk i will not name, months ago i got a doa mini abalone. evolv fixed it. another guy then offered to "improve" it. rendering it dead again. evolv of course rightfully refused to fix it a second time. then i noticed the first time it had come back with one blue and one yellow panel. the yellow panel was poorly cut. it was a blue abalone. i mean the shell color not the frame. today, from a nice gentleman i obtained a much better example. with shipping lost $225 but oh well. i am not doing anything here other then mentioning a story.

Followup to VS DNA200 replacement batteries. Found them at SweetVapes. VS rep. told me they were an authorized dealer and the FullyMax 900's would have the proper connectors for a VS DNA200. Cost $15/each. One more item off my doomsday list.
