You haven't found preheat to gunk up coils super fast like the guys at The Plumes of Hazard in Episode 77 did?

Not that I have noticed, but have not done a deliberate comparison. I would still use it even if it did as fast heat up is very important to me and probably why I now stick to Evolv boards.

i have a question though. is there a way to change to ni,ti,ss on the mod without using escribe? to me that is almost as necessary as temp and watts.

Yes, with the latest firmware you can swap coil material on the device itself. You still need escribe to upload the firmware and materials though.

Lock (5 clicks on fire) then hold all 3 buttons for a few seconds.

Funny, I was just writing a DNA200 Operational Manual. I am not sure if I left something out.

MAIN

Up/Down (5 sec) lock wattage or temp (Temp-Dominant dependent)
Up/Down (5 sec) then twice Up (or Down) to change Profile

LOCK (5 clicks)

Up/Down (5 sec) adjusts temp or wattage (Temp-Dominant dependent)
Fire/Up (5 sec) lock ohms
Fire/Dn (5 sec) Stealth/Normal
Fire/UD (5 sec) Change Material

thanks guys. i love this even more now! can this chip be more awesome? i don't think so. i am sure they will have even better ones coming though. i can't even imagine what direction vaping could go in. that is if the gov does not spoil our party. like man i feel sorry for those of you in chi town. you can keep that city. i can say that because i lived there a very long time. it was my dream to retire and have a petting farm. finally, now i do. unfortunately i can no longer do hands on. amazingly my body is finished but not my mind. some might question that though lol. okay, too much information i know. seriously though i appreciate you guys know stuff i don't.

btw, now i have even more reason to support evolv. as if i have not already. anyways, their cs is super duper! the fact they would even repair a third party chinese device should be a model for all companies. free of charge yet. just amazing really. fanboy4life. yes, i am honestly a senior haha. please don't tell me to act my age, that would suck.

IMHO, the only thing left for this chip to be perfect, is to be able to set wire TCR below 0.001. TCR for SS 316L is known to be 0.00092, which escribe does not accept as a value.
Umm... I don't think the DNA200 can read ohms that low of a resolution (or any other mod on the market yet). I am thinking it might can tell the difference between 400°F and 800°F with Kanthal, but not between 400°F to 600°F. Nichrome (Ni80) is about 60 times easier to read temperature than Kanthal, so I would guess we will see TC with Ni80 before we see it for Kanthal.

You must have an old version of EScribe.

And there is a proper curve for 316 included now.

Tcr is not the same as coil resistance.

I am officially sick of the DNA200 chip!
Bought an Hcigar VT200.....after a weeks use, screen flashed to warranty service. Got a replacement for it......and that one wouldn't keep the battery in balance...modded the case to hold a better battery...that one went out of balance in less then a month.
Got a Vaporshark DNA200.......screen just flashed to Warranty Service!!!
connecting to escribe...it shows each cell voltage, but battery pack reades 0.00 volts.

3 different boards...all 3 no good, COME ON Evolv!!!!!

your luck sucks cotaku. out of the 5 dna 200's i got, 4 of em are still running great. the 5th was a VS dna 200. just like yours, screen flashed warranty service, made a pop, then deader than a door nail after only 5 days in my hands. i do have faith VS will make it right. i should have a replacement some time this week.

I downloaded escribe 10 days ago when i received my mod, when i set the tcr to 0.00092, escribe keeps resetting it back to 0.006.
I tried the included SS 316 curve, and had a warmer and better vape by setting my tcr to 0.001.
