My settings did not change, still MAX PUFFS, mod is at 74% charge. mod always showed AMPS being delivered until right near the end of charge cycle.

I know we like to think that problems are USER caused, because most times it is. The ONLY thing new here is the update. For those that don't want to do the update, I understand, but guessing on something you are not experiencing is just that, guessing. I'm on the Evolv board and just responded to James, so I'll continue this there.

Sounds like a plan.... James will get to the bottom of the matter...

you're right, we're obviously guessing as what caused your problem. however, everyone here is just trying to help you out. roll your firmware back to it's previous version and you should get your 2 amp charge back. that seems to be the fix.

He already rolled it back with no change as did KTM.

Yep, folks just trying to help out...... let James work his magic.... I "guess" that is why they call it "Early Release" to let folks "kick the tires a bit and identify a flat tire if there is one".

Vaped down to 12.1v and no change.

To be clear, I tried a 700ma (0.7a) charger and got the same results. Plugging into my computer gave me a stable 500ma (.5a) charge. Same after I rolled back to 2016.2.23 firmware.

Funny thing is I was able to roll back to 2016.2.23 firmware and the 2 amp charging came back.

  1. I rolled back with escribe version 1.2 (I wanted to keep this version because I have other DNA devices)
  2. After I rolled back, my VS was dead with "upload settings" on the screen (I think there was an incompatibility problem with the Watts mode as one of my materials on the device)
  3. Next I Restored Defaults from the general tab
  4. Reloaded my saved .ecig file and took the watts mode off of my device, then uploaded to my VS

The one guy that got snappy and mean everytime someone suggest something that didn't help said rolling back didn't work for him.

Maybe the post by Spirometry will help...

I was just looking in my appdata folders. Escribe v1.2 is stored in a different folder than the older Escribe. What I discovered was I never had 2016.2.23 in the first place. 2016-02-12.sw-update is the last firmware I had installed on my devices.

For the others having trouble rolling back, try rolling back a little further.
