The positive post is surrounded with some kind on rubbery thing i think, so im not sure how i could fix it, im adding a picture

I have a Sony VTC5 in there, so the battery shouldnt be the problem.

Some backround information about the device : I got it around a month ago, at first it worked fine with no problems, then a few weeks back it said shorted when i screw the atomizer on top of it, the only way for it to work was when i unscrewed it a bit but then the atomizer was wobbly but atleast it worked. But now all it does is say "shorted" :( , i took the back cover off, and all the soldering seemed OK to me, i was thinking that the problem might be the 510 connector but i have so little expericene so i cant be sure.. if you have any ides/tips or anything please HELP ME !!!
Sorry if my english is broken.

Face down in the gutter, USA
Use a toothpick or something pointy and try to gently lift all the way around the center contact of the 510, lifting it a bit, then recheck to see if it says shorted (no need to install tank) (for visualization of the process youtube "nonfiring ego fix, its essentially the same process)

Its entirely possible it has been pushed down too far and is now smashing the insulator and causing a short.

Best of luck!

Here's the center pin fix Rsunderl & xtwosm0kers referred to. This can happen from over-tightening the tank onto the battery connector. Just make sure that if you use something conductive (metal) to pry up on the center pin that you do NOT hit the fire button while you are working on the battery. Or better yet, turn off the mod before you try this.
