AMD,

Isn't that the outfit that made the chip for the "Seven 30". While I have received some criticisms from others when I mention the Seven 30 I have found it to be a really great unit at a very excellent price.

Another question, I read the specs I didn't see any mention of Ni200 does it require any special atty or coil wire?

I wasn't very satisfied with my previous (first) build on my GT II. Not that it didn't work, but it just didn't produce enough Vapor/Flavor like my Ni200 Rose V2, Kayfun V4, Fogger and Squape R. But I felt it could do better, so I tried, and I tried, and I tried all kinds of Ni200 builds. Until I did this:
26 AWG Ni200 3.5mm ID Micro Coil (spaced coil wouldn't fit) at 0.14Ω and Trimmed Rayon wick.

I'm a happy camper now. It is set for 450F and 40W and produces a lot of worm, dense , flavorful vapor. It throws a large air bubble every single puff I take.

I've been dying to try some 26g but steams web page shows a ridiculous amount of wraps to achieve .14 so I haven't bothered. Whats the diameter of your coil?

Very nice coil!

What is this "refinement" you speak of?

Triple twisted 32ga Ni200 from temco, 8 wraps around 7/32

Read 0.18, will see what the eventual resistance is after refinement kicks in

EDIT: after 30 mins of refinement, it is now 0.16 and holding steady.

When you first screw on an atty and Fire it, it takes an initial resistance reading.

Leave that fella aside for a while, and as the atty cools, the chip takes sample resistance readings and calibrates the base resistance :)

No, you are not way off base. If your build is solid and you are vaping within your tanks ideal wattage (taking airflow and wicking into account), you shouldn't hit TP. I vape my Lemo at 22 watts/410F and never hit TP, it hovers between 385 and 400. It is a cool vape, but I like it that way. When you start pushing the wattage up, like you at 35 watts, then you are likely going to hit TP after a few seconds. There is nothing wrong with doing that if you like the vape, but ideally you want to find a wattage and temp that will allow you to complete your draw without hitting TP. I mean what is really the point of 35 watts if you are going to hit TP and the board is going to dial back the power anyway. If a warm vape is what you are after, you may want to look into a wicking material that has a higher flash point than cotton. Or you can do Willie's wicking method, which apparently will allow you to fire 80 watts at the Lemo without drying the wick out.

Thanks. It went back to firing 30 watts and just hitting 325 never going to temp of 400. Think I'm going to take the build out and try again but I think it has more to do with the connection in the Lemo.
