Just received a vaporshark rdna 40 from vaporshark and I think some thing may be wrong with it.

It seems to not read ohms accurately. It reads a 0.13 ohm build (28g, 11 wraps, 2.5mm inner) at 0.09 and I have to run it at 550-600 degrees just to get any vapor.

The coil was tested on an ohm reader and a hana before hand to be .13 and the RDNA 40 still says it is .09

I have tried another coil of 28 gauge ni200 with 5 wraps around a 2.5mm mandrel. It should be somewhere around 0.06, the device reads it at 0.13

When running that coil. I have the temp set to 410F and even at 40w, it will only hit 310F.

I'm at a loss.

Am I missing something, did something wrong or is there something wrong with the device?

yeah i could never get a good nickel build to work and just stopped trying after 10ish coils. I got one to work but it was nothing spectacular compared to kanthal, so I just use kanthal now.
I got a dripper to work but I couldn't set the temp any higher than 310F to avoid a dry hit. I like it alot. I just had no idea these things were so wonky. Lol
I don't have one, so I can't help myself. I do however know of the official DNA 40 introduction thread on ECF. I have the feeling you will be able to find out anything you want about the DNA40 there.
Thanks I'm currently readying that now.

Update: the second weird ohm reading was on a k4 which from what I understand is a bit of a pita with temp builds. I've testing a few different builds on a couple different attys and the device seems to be about 0.03-0.05 ohms off.
