I am working on a tube style mod with the DNA20, I have all of my plans written out. Just have one question.

For the ground wire for the atomizer and battery, can that be shared by using the body as a ground for both?
Or do I have to isolate them completely??
It seems to me that other VV tube mods use the body for the grounding both.

In Lay-mans terms: Perhaps....... It depends on a Lot of things I have not the time to delve into nor quiz you about. Eg: Body material specifications, atty connection methods, yada yada.

Perhaps someone with more time available than I can lend a hand here.

Good Luck

I am sure someone will chime in if I have this completely backwards, but here is my 2 cents.

A reg tube mod with the neg atty connection and the neg batt connection grounded through
the tube body is called an open circuit, with the switch closing the circuit to allow power to flow.

With the DNA20 handling power flow and the open/close circuit directly on the board,
then grounding the batt through the body to the board and the atty will either fry the board, trip
the reverse circuit protection, or bypass the board all together.

You'll prolly have to insulate the atty so that the neg is not grounding through the body,
then you could ground the batt through the body to the board.

Maybe one of the gurus can tell us for sure.

Brandon says you only need to attach one ground wire to the body, I would assume he is
referring to the neg batt connection. When he says there is no "need" to attach the other,
is he implying there would be no deleterious effect? Because, when you attach the neg atty
to the board, it will be grounded on the body.

The op's original question made sense, but Brandon's answer doesn't seem to be specific enough.
Was there more to Brandon's response?

Please let us know how the mod works out.

It makes sense, take a DNA20 with nothing connected and use a dmm to test continuity through the grounds. You will find five points on the board that share continuity through the negative circuit....bat -, charge -, out -, one of the fire lugs, and one of the down lugs
