Ground Point for Flashlight Mod

Hi, I tried to make my own flashlight mod but it isn't working. Does someone have a wiring diagram? I'm trying to figure out where I'm supposed to ground it. Thanks.

doesnt the wire going into the pos of the atty have to be on the side of the resistor closest to the switch? and usually the case itself is the negative if it is metal

This is not "my" diagram, it was given to me by a forum member. Ur idea *may* be better, but this worked several times for me Im no electrician, but it did help me make several kick .... mods

The resistor values change based on the led you use. Some leds also come with built in resistors. Here is a good tool for figuring out resistor values (and a good place for leds too)

I think what Wage was saying is that the atty should not be in the circuit with the resistor... it should have it's own lead off the switch.

Yeah, the resistor should not be in series with the atomizer, the resistor / LED should be in parallel with the atomizer with a direct connection to the atomizer from the battery (-) and the push button (+). I've attached the basic schematic I use for making DIY Nicosticks @ 3.7V with a 2XAA battery case.
