This post is in part to vent my frustration at two major components of any PV device, the atomizer and the juice/liquid, and I'm stuck at a crossroad. E-cigarette's have been around for a few years and we've come a long way to create efficient methods and products to compliment our needs, and to drive ourselves away from the dangers of using analogs. As a long time E-cig user, I know that we still have a long road ahead of us to achieve the perfect PV device but recently I've started to lose that patience.

Before I begin, this post is not intended to desecrate or to downplay suppliers or users in any way. To start, I have been using Cisco atomizers for quality and assurance of a better experience despite the cost, and I've had more good experiences than bad. This sounds good but the problem begins when I start to use 100% VG juices, where it will clogs/floods the atomizers causing the performance to drop immensely after 1-2 days. Once the performance drops, one will need to clean the atomizers or blow it from the battery end, then it will last another 1-2 days before dropping off again.

Of course, one might suggest that I should switch to pure/mixed PG juice for its thinness (which may solve the flooding issues) but that creates problems for me. Firstly, I have a reaction, not severe but a reaction non-the-less to PG juice, and it will cause a number of skin related issues. Secondly, PG juice is thin and it leaks a lot more than VG juice, and this causes me to waste close to 20% juice for each run. Therefore, I must resort to 100% VG juice but also note that I have grown fond of VG juice for its not-so-harsh throat hit, more vapor production, and also because some of my favorite flavors contain 100% VG (Boba's Bounty, Gorilla juice, Maple Tobacco, etc).

Going back to atomizers, both Cisco and Ikenvape are the only suppliers that I know of that makes quality atomizers that will give you the best experience, and that is true for the most part. The crossroad that I'm stuck at is that VG juices and Cisco/Ikenvape atomizers or any variation of atomizers do not go together. I am tired of cleaning the atomizers every 1-2 days, tired of getting nicotine of my lips sometimes, and tired of spending money left and right to find a solution that may or may not be there.

This does not mean that I am giving up electronic cigarettes since I will never go back to analogs but it means that I have no choice or at least it feels like it. I will have to endure and to wait for a supplier to come out with something more creative by being intuitive. And I hope that someone out there is putting some time and effort for us users instead of focusing entirely on the money that we put forth.

If there is a solution to this please let me know and thanks for reading,

- Louis

Might want to check into something like the Ato-Miser or I think there are a few variants out there. I love mine and have used it exclusively for dripping since I got it. Hits better than any production atty I've tried. The initial cost isn't cheap but once that's over you can build attys for pennys.

Aside from the performance what I like about it is the ability to drip more drops than a standard atty, not as much work, doesn't clog and if I want to change flavors just unscrew the base, rinse it, do a dry burn and I have a fresh new atty.

Thanks for you input and I've heard of the Ato-Miser but there are two problem that I forgot to mention. I travel very often daily and so I rarely drip unless I'm at home, and the other side of the problem is that I use a Reo Mini, which is a bottom feeder. If they came out with a Ato-Miser that would cater towards a bottom feeder, that would be awesome.

I just need some kind of solution that would let me vape for at least a week straight.

Sorry that your having this problem and I don't think you are down playing any product. First, your correct that Cisco and Ikenvape make the best attys but tho I dont use VG juice exclusively, I do when I can and Im not experiencing clogging/flooding after a couple of days. Actually not at all. Of course over time I see a decline in performance but that about it. I rotate between 2 Ciscos (a 306LR & 510LR) about every 2-3 days. Again I wish I could help you with a answer to your issue. May I ask which supplier for your VG juice your using?

I also like VG and have heard several times that a couple drops of distilled water thins it out nicely.

Interesting, but doesn't that lower the flavor and nicotine level?

I am using VG juices from Alien Visions, BWB, and Vaperite.

Just a few drops should help. It won't hurt the flavor. You could also try a few drops of PGA or vodka.

My personal opinion, the Cisco 306's clog much easier than the 510's, but the 306's are better for travelling because the overflow well stays dry. I like the Cisco 306 well enough to blow them out each night.

I have also heard of adding just a few drops of distilled water to VG to make it a little less viscious. I haven't tried it myself but its something I have heard repeated many times. Perhaps give it a shot. Put some juice in a 3ml bottle, add 2 drops of distilled water, shake it up and give it a try. That way if its something you dont like there isnt much lost.

I will try it out tomorrow once I'm back from college, and I'll let you guys know how it goes. If it works, then there will be less of the clogging up but more of the leaking, but I don't mind the leaking as much as the clogging.

BTW, can someone explain as to why VG juice and clogging takes down the performance of an atomizer so fast?
